What are set pieces in Futsal?By

One of the easiest ways to score in futsal, are certainly set pieces. In a futsal game there are a lot of corners and outs and usually a few free kicks. From these set pieces a team can score a lot of goals, but only if they are well trained and every player know exactly what to do? It is important to change the way of executing set pieces during the match, because otherwise the opposite team knows what the play will be and can easily take the ball. It is good to have at least 3 different corner plays and 2 different free kicks and out plays, otherwise a team gets very predictable. Another good thing is to have a sign or a number for a certain play so the opposite team can’t know what play the team is going to perform. Set pieces can be executed in 3 situations, out, corner and free kicks.

Futsal plays - set pieces - out A 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Player number 3 runs toward player number 1 who passes the ball to him. Player number 3 returns the ball to player number 1, turns around and runs toward the goal. Player number 1 passes the ball over the defender to player number 3.

Futsal plays - set pieces - out B 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture on the left (execution is very similar to the previous set piece). Player number 3 runs toward player number 1 who passes the ball to him.

Set pieces in corner

Futsal plays - set pieces - corner kick A 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Player number 2 runs toward the ball as he will shot on goal. When player number 2 starts running player number 3 runs toward the middle of the pitch and then he changes his direction and runs toward the corner kick.

Futsal plays - set pieces - corner kick B1 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Player number 1 passes the ball to player number 2 who shots on goal (he tries to shot a low ball on the second post).

Futsal plays - set pieces - corner kick B2 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Player number 3 runs slowly toward the goal then he turns around and runs toward player number 1 who passes the ball to him.

Set pieces in free kick

Futsal plays - set pieces - free kick A 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Player number 2 is position in front of the barrier. Player number 1 passes the ball to player number 2 who passes the ball back to player number 1.

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture.

Futsal plays - set pieces - free kick B2 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Now the barrier is correctly positioned so the pass to player number 2 is not possible.

Futsal plays - set pieces - free kick B3 

Instructions:Players are positioned as shown on the picture. Player number 4 runs away from goal at that time player number 1 passes the ball to player number 3 who passes the ball on first touch to player number 4.

Players are positioned as shown on the picture.

This free kick can be performed when the set piece is from the side. E.

How to Defend Set Pieces in Futsal

Mark all the opponents.Read the game.Eye focus on the ball and opponents.Try to expect what the opponents try to do.Don let too much space for opponents to move.
