Shalom is the perfectly just peace and completeness of a community where everyone contributes and everyone is cared for (e.g. the body of Christ).

Violence is any system, circumstance, or act that contradicts God’s shalom.

Nonviolence is a lifestyle of seeking shalom for everyone you encounter.
