In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various places,

but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?

slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good,

treacherous, rash, conceited 2 Timothy 3:2b-4a

lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having

a form of godliness but denying its power.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the

truth. 2 Timothy 3:6-7

mothers, and younger women as sisters, with

You have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (3:15-16)

So that the person of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.(3:17)

1. Expect the gulf between evil and righteousness to expand up to the return of Christ.

Your mission is show people in sin the

way to live.

Make sure you are being transformed and not

holding on to religious forms.

Regard suffering for the cause of Christ a requirement and privilege

words to encourage us as approved workers to look for

opportunities to do good works.
