Where your TREASURE is, there your HEART will be also
Understanding the parable
The comparison Jesus is making is to what we normally value, EARTHLY TREASURE, to what we should value, HEAVENLY TREASURE.
Matthew 6:19-21 19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys
and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
What are the treasures in heaven?

How do we store up treasures in heaven?
Keep your eyes on ETERNITY.
Be a
STEWARD of your TIME
Is my investment of time going to be wasted or have an eternal reward?
Take one thing you spend your time on right now and give it to God and ask him to use it for HIS glory.
Steward your time to invest in what matters most in your life: time with God, time with family, etc.
Be a
STEWARD of your TREASURE
Commit first to honor God with your increase by tithing.
Out of the remaining you are givenset an amount that you need to live on.
Anything above that commit to God’s kingdom. Give to God’s purposes sacrificially.
Be a
STEWARD of your TALENT
1 Peter 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
