PARISH NEWS

Here I am, good and gentle Jesus, kneel-

ing before you. With great fervor I pray

and ask you to instill in me genuine con-

victions of faith, hope and love, true

sorrow for my sins and a firm resolve to

amend them. While I contemplate your

five wounds with great love and compas-

sion, I remember the words which the

prophet David long ago put on your lips:

" They have pierced my hands and feet; I

can count all my bones."

Director Athens Catholic Radio, visited the SJS News and Tech Team to record a radio spot with students and shared his experience regarding what it is like to work in the

radio industry. Students thoroughly enjoyed the visit and SJS and Athens Catholic Radio are already working on future partnership efforts. Tune in to 105.7 to check

PATH (Post Abortion Therapy and Heal-ing) One in three women of child bearing years have experienced abortion. Confi-dential Scriptural healing is available to the mothers, fathers and to those who have assisted with abortion. Our faith shares with us that God’s love for us is infinite and there is nothing that cannot be forgiven. We can intellectualize this truth but forgiveness of self is equally important. In The Lord’s Prayer, the “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us” that ‘those’ includes ourselves. Save One is a weekly Bible Study available locally. A weekend Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreat is coming up on 9/29. Call 404 717-5557 to sign-up for either or both opportunities. www.healingafterabortion.com.

Reflexión de la Semana Pasada

Aquí estoy, buen Jesús, arrodillado ante

ti. Con gran fervor rezo y pido que in-

culques en mí genuinas convicciones de

fe, esperanza y amor, verdadero dolor

de mis pecados y la firme resolución de

enmendarlos. Mientras contemplo tus

cinco llagas con gran amor y com-

pasión, me acuerdo de las palabras que

en aquellos tiempos el profeta David

puso en sus labios: "Han taladrado mis

manos y mis pies; puedo contar todos

mis huesos.
