W elcome back to nursery, Welcome

to a new Academic Year 2019 which is just about the begin.

My name is Ms Jasmin and I’m the manager of the nursery. I’ve started my career at Blooming Buds Nursery 7 years ago when I took over the po-sition of EYFS Practition-er. I just took my first two steps into the begin-ning of my 3rd year as the manager of this won-derful place.

Allow me, on behalf of the whole team of Bloom-ing Buds Nursery, to wel-come you to our family. We are all excited meet and greet new children and their families and we can’t wait to see how our little ones have grown since the summer.

more.

You will also be receiving extra information through the parent portal iEducore and of course through your child’s teacher.

Parents’ Information Evening

On Tuesday, September 11th @ 6pm we will be holding a parents’ infor-mation evening in the Brilliant Branches 2 classroom. This session will take around 1 hour and will give you a quick introduction into the EYFS curriculum , our health and safety stand-ards, food catering and the extra curricular ac-tivities.

O n September 5 only the return-ing children will come to nurse-

ry from 9.30 am until 12.30 pm to get to meet their new practitioner and their key person and to famil-iarize themselves with their new classroom.

It will also be a great opportunity for them to meet their friends from the previous academic year.

You have already received an email informing you of your child’s class and the name of the practitioner. On our homepage you can make yourself familiar with our staff members but I believe you have met or seen them before.

Please take some time in the morn-ing to introduce your child to the new practitioner. It might be very busy but if we’re all patient and support each other it will be a

smooth first day.

The practitioner will use the time to introduce you and your child to your child’s key person and chat with you a little about your child’s interests, preferences and personal needs in order to get to know him/her better and to ensure he/she is as comfortable as possible.

Please remember to bring for your child a snack / lunch bag and water together with a bag of items your precious one will need for his/her personal hygiene, e.g. nappies, wet wipes, two sets of spare clothes (very important).

We wish you all the best of luck and hope that you have a fantastic year!

Start of the new year for RETURNING children

As you are aware we operate a healthy eating policy at nursery and ask that all parents support us in our aim of nurturing healthy, well-fed and active children.

Please do not send nuts (high aller-gen) or any food that contains nuts, chocolate, chocolate spreads, can-dy, crisps or fizzy drinks.

We also ask you to cut any food which is round (grapes, hot dogs, etc.) in half first and then length-wise to avoid any choking incidents.

We are also very pleased to offer you the option of ordering healthy

meals from Leela’s Lunches, a food catering company special-ized on children. In the next paragraph you can read everything about them.

W hilst we appreciate that chil-dren like to wear their fa-

vourite clothing to nursery, we ad-vise that you bring your child to nursery wearing clothes that are comfortable, allow freedom of movement and are easily washable.

Footwear must fit comfortably and be appropriate for nursery, please no party shoes, shoes with laces, or flip flops. All children must have a pair of crocs or comfortable rub-ber shoes to leave at nursery to be used during the various Messy Play activities.

Being comfortable, healthy and safe

Children want the same things we

want.

To laugh, to be challenged,

to be entertained

and delighted.

A t Blooming Buds Nursery we’re continuously trying to improve

our services. One of it is making sure that our parents and families are always up to date with their child’s progress, their daily attend-ance, information about events and the receipt of newsletters and oth-er information we deem necessary to share. Not to forget of course, sharing photos and videos with you.

Parents who are returning with their children are already familiar with our two Applications

Tapestry

iEducore

Not only do these two apps allow us to be environmentally friendlier by

using less paper but also by ensur-ing that the information reaches you immediately , straight on your smart phone.

You just need to download the ap-plications from your google play or iphone app store and you’re almost ready.

Ms Joan will send you an email with the login details for your child/children.

Important: you must set your own settings on your phone accordingly to allow pop0up notifications by the apps. This way you will surely not miss out on any important dates, events, news and above all, infor-mation about your child.

A gentle reminder please: you must not download any of the photos on

iEducore or tapestry which show your child in a group with others, and post it on social media. This is against the law and could lead oth-er parents to take legal actions against you. You are welcome to download them for your personal album only.

portunities to play and explore while I will be available in the gym which will be set-up as a parents lounge.

The parents lounge will be available starting Wednesday, September 5th until the following week Tues-day, September 10th. Come and have coffee or tea . You will have the opportunity to meet other par-ents and I will be coming around to check on you after I have visited the classes.

Please refrain from going to the class without being asked to do so

W e all know and understand how

anxious and worried many of you might be but trust me when I tell you, that you’re leaving your child in the very capable hands of our practi-

tioners and TAs.

We are here to support wherever we can. In the classroom the fan-tastic team of educators will en-sure that your child will feel wel-come and safe and gets enough op-

as it will be disruptive for your child. It is a big transition from home to nursery and children might be unsettled in the beginning. See-ing their parents or caretakers outside the classroom will only make it worse.

If it is time for your child to go home, the practitioner will come to the gym to pick you up and if eve-rything is fine and both you and your little one are happy we recom-mend that you either go home and relax or use the time to run some errands.

dren will receive a book, a puppet and a CD upon registering.

For the more football enthusiastic children between 2 and 4 years old we offer Mini-Kickers in cooperation with Pass Abu Dhabi.

These classes will be held outdoors or in the gym (according to the weather) every Wednesday.

Those who are more into relaxation and enjoy imitating different ani-mals by stretching and bending

their little bodies, we would recommend Mini-Yoga. Another very popular activity.

Registration forms have been sent out per email. If you have not received it, kindly ap-proach Ms Joan in the reception.

There is only limited space availa-ble so please sign up as soon as pos-sible to avoid disappointment. Ms. Joan will be more than happy to assist you.
