PLEASE NOTE On Monday, September 19th, we started working on our new project. We have a con-tract with a firm to refinish the pews and re-place the kneelers. This work will continue through early December. As sections of pews are taken out, chairs will
be supplied. While the pews are removed, we will also be re-placing the floor tile and carpet underneath, where needed.
October will be fun. The officers will have training in Fredericksburg, VA, on Oct 1. On Oct 3, there will be the regularly scheduled Council Business Meeting. On Oct 9, the Knights of Council #5750 will host our monthly Pancake Breakfast for charity. The proceeds go to local Catholic
charities. Bring the whole family and help us raise funds for charitable giving. On Oct 15, we shall have our Knights Night Out. This is a monthly social event where Knights and their families go to local events and fun happenings in the area as a group. On Oct 17 is the Council Social Meeting. On Oct 22, for those who missed the Army Ten-Miler, Council #5750 will be sponsoring a 5K Walk/Run in Leesylvania State Park. Local businesses will be kindly sponsoring the event and we’re expecting a big turnout for it.
OUR CATHOLIC FAITH AND THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
How are we as Catholics to vote? With the election just two months away, it is important that we consider our role in the public life of our nation. Fr. Schultz has been giving a series of talks this month. This week the topic is Religious Freedom. The talk will happen twice: Wednesday at 7:30 and Friday at 9:30 AM. Refreshments will be provided. This series is gener-ously sponsored by the Catholic Women’s Council of Our Lady of Angels Parish.
FIRST SATURDAY FAMILY ADORATION
Saturday, October 3rd from 10:00 - 11:00am in the Adoration Chapel. Families are invited to share in this Holy Hour every First Saturday, as our children lead us in prayers, the Rosary and hymns of Adoration and Thanksgiving before the Blessed Sacrament.

The 24th International Week of Prayer and Fasting coalition in collaboration with the Marians of the Immaculate Conception are asking for individuals, families, prayer groups and parishes to unite for nine days October 2nd – 10th of prayer and fasting for the following goals: for the conversion of all peoples and na-tions, to build a culture of life, for protection of marriage and family life according to Heaven’s Divine Order, for peace and to implore God’s Mercy.

EUCHARISTIC HOLY HOUR
The Arlington Division of the World Apostolate of Fatima (The Blue Army) sponsors a diocesan-wide Eucharistic Holy Hour every fourth Sunday of each month, from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. The Knights of Columbus will be selling Christmas Wreaths during the month of October at every Mass. A table will be set up on the lawn, weather permitting, other-wise we will be in the narthex. Orders must be submitted on November 1st. to accommodate delivery around Thanksgiving.
