Homework is assigned Mon.-Thurs.Students will typically complete: math

page, Reading Notebook/Response, and writing assignment. There may also be a grammar, vocabulary, or reading comprehension page.

Please check homework for accuracy.Please contact me with concerns.

• Word Study-Done in class, but I will send a copy home.

• All reading/math/content tests should be signed and returned.

• I will indicate if any other quizzes/assignments need to be returned (80%).

• Study guides will be given a week before social studies/science tests.

• Encourage children to make their own choices.

• Spelling—Try your best!

• Reading Notebook should be signed each night.• No more than two books at a time.• Encourage students to “ABANDON” books. • Just Right Books-Use chart to help students find Just

Right Books—MOST IMPORTANT WAY TO HELP!• Reading Level-Soon we will be testing students to find

their independent reading level. • Book Wizard-See contact info card for website. You can

find the reading level of many books, or search for books in your child’s reading level.
