Smile! You’re on Camera!
If you start noticing a lot more picture and video taking at Cham-
ber events, don’t worry! It’s all part of the plan.
In response to communication trends, the Christmas Committee
has hired a social media consultant from Buzz Hustle (a local so-
cial media company whose busy bee logo you see above) to manage the Christmas
social media campaigns. You will see more activity on the page, and we will use this
as a way to jump start taking advantage of Facebook live.
Our FIRST facebook live event happened September 5th, 9:ooam. We streamed live
footage of our Christmas Elves at Commissioner’s court! They asked, and were
granted, permission to use the Courthouse square for our Christmas activities this
year. You can still view this never-before-seen invasion of elves into Fannin County
Courthouse! Facebook users just need to follow
the Chamber page, we’re still working out the
details if there is a viewing option for non-
facebook users.
The Chamber’s facebook page has also begun tap-
ping into Facebook live. The first live feed was put
out for our recent paper shredding event. The
video attracted a dramatic increase of views for
that particular post, as opposed to a image or a
pre-recorded video. And, as of last week, the
Chamber page now has over 1,000 followers!

Welcome New Director
Megan Towery, of Century 21 Har-
vey Properties, has stepped up to
join the Chamber Board of Direc-
tors. Our directors serve for three
years. Typically new directors join
at the beginning of the year when a
previous director’s term expires. However, when a director
is unable to serve out their term, another candidate is
brought in mid-term to fill the vacancy. And so in August we
had the pleasure of welcoming Megan Towery to the Cham-
ber Board.
