INTRODUCTION

The document on electro-diagnostic testing of "Pamela" RH summarizes

the scope and procedure of electrical testing of "Pamela" RH in article 46КС and is

the initial data for development of documentation on integrated electrical testing of

the article.

The present document was developed according to:

“Materials on "Pamela" RH control logic” (353П-46КС-26166-1105).

1. INDICATION OF SAFETY MEASURES

Operation with "Pamela" RH is allowed to persons acquainted with mode

of functioning, structure of the article, operational documentation for the testing

equipment, trained in safety measures and entitled to work with electric facilities

of voltage below 1000 V in a group of 3 minimum and also entitled to work with

high-pressure vessels.

Operating personnel shall be acquainted with and observe the rules and

service instructions for instruments used for operations with the article and

also other rules and instructions in force at the manufacturing plant and at

the user’s.

2. TYPES OF HARDWARE TESTING

At 46КС article manufacturing plant ("Progress" plant) electrical testing of

"Pamela" RH both for technological and flight prototypes are carried out in the fol-

lowing phases:

- prior installation on the article – incoming test using "Pamela" RH GSE

according to documentation developed in INFN.

- after installation on the article:

1. Test activations with the article’s support systems including:

a) equipment serviceability checkout;

b) test of communications with BCtS, CRPDS, BTMS, BTCS;

c) test of communications with HSRL OBE using technological output of

TDM commutator.

2. Joint operation with HSRL OBE.

3. Integrated testing (IT).

Measurement of interference level and slump of voltage in supply circuits

is carried out for the technological prototype.

The consequence of testing flight prototype of "Pamela" RH at the user’s is

the same.

at the “Progress” plant and at the user’s is given in Figure 0.

3. TESTS OF THE HARDWARE AS PART OF THE ARTICLE

3.1 Purposes and tasks of the tests.

The purpose of electrical testing of "Pamela" RH as part of the article is to

confirm its serviceability as part of the article and availability for operation in ac-

cordance with its mission.

Tasks of the electrical testing of the hardware as part of the article are as

follows:

а) testing accuracy of hardware/46КС article systems connections;

б) testing the hardware serviceability including checkout of: PSCU, Termi-

nal, basic and standby protection units (PU) sets, basic and standby chan-

nels of basic and standby exchange adapter, basic and standby power sup-

ply, basic and standby electronics of the tracker, trigger, С4, ND, "I-DAQ"

system and also memory modules А and В;

в) testing electric interaction of the hardware with support systems of the

article: BCtS, CCIU, BTMS, CRPDS, HSRL OBE and also electric interac-

tion of communication lines with these systems.

To test communication lines between the hardware and support systems of

the article it is necessary to perform:

1. Two-way exchange of information (delivery of macro commands

(MCMD) to the hardware and receipt of service information from

the hardware) by line A and line B using the terminal – BCtS

communication test.

2. Issue of all necessary CC to the hardware under sequential dis-

connection of buses Еок1, Еок2 – CRPDS communication test.

3. Transmission of test information to HSRL OBE by the primary

and standby channel – HSRL communication test.

4. Issue of synchrosignals to the hardware by channel 1 and 2 -

CCIU communication test

5. Assessment of TM for reference values – BTMS communication

test.

Functional scheme of communication between "Pamela" RH and GTS and

article’s systems is given in picture 1.

3.2 Tests support.

All kinds of testing of the hardware as part of article 46КС are carried out

using ground testing complex on the basis of the control computer and mathemati-

cal test support. Hardware control in the course of the test activations and joint op-

eration with HSRL OBE is carried out by nominal program A11 using RAM Pro-

gram. Hardware control in the course of IT is carried out by nominal program A11

initiated from OP.

Prior testing of "Pamela" RH as part of the article the following article’s

systems shall be activated and ready for operation: BVS, BDTS, BTCS, CRPDS,

PSS, CMS. HSRL OBE shall be activated and ready for operation prior the first

exchange session in the course of PAM TA with HSRL, JO and IT.

Pressurized container with "Pamela" RH shall be in transport condition

with the cover closed, "Pamela" RH normally joined with the article’s systems.

"Pamela" RH GSE shall be connected with "Pamela" RH through connector BCS

Х «ГН15Т.10» and connected with HSRL OBE GTE according to ИЭ17 part44. In

the course of all kinds of electrical testing of "Pamela" RH as part of the SC the

ground cooling system (353У.9152.001) is connected to "Pamela" RH cooling

loop hydraulic pipelines. Connection of the cooling loop and filling the working

fluid into the cooling loop are made according to Instructions 353У.9152.001 ПМ

2 and 353У.9152.001 ИЭ 2 during tests in “Progress” plant and in the launch site

accordingly. When the pressurized container is in operating position or in any in-

termediate position the tests shall not be carried out.

Power dump is allowed at any operational phase of "Pamela" RH. After

restoration of supply it is necessary to activate test program ЖР67 in input termi-

nal 10 to deactivate the hardware and to proceed with the nominal operation of

"Pamela" RH.

Control of "Pamela" RH serviceability in the course of all electrical tests in

the article is executed by GTS using test programs ЖР67, ЖР68, ЖР69.

ЖР67 – program "Pamela" RH serviceability test in the course of TA with

support systems of the article";

ЖР68 – program "Control of "Pamela" RH/HSRL" JO;

ЖР69 – program "Test of "Pamela" RH serviceability in the course of IT".

To control serviceability of the hardware the following items are used by

GTS:

- nominal circuits of TM-control by channels of addressed TM selection;

- technological control circuits led to GTS through the signaling transmit-

ter (ST);

- Computer data (CD) transmitted from BCtS RAM through technologi-

cal channel "МТ".

Evaluation of tests results is carried out by ANP prints, tapes of open re-

cording of BTMS, testing scientific data.

3.4 GTE composition.

"Pamela" RH GSE (КБ7.101.00.000.00), GTE of HSRL OBE and ground

cooling system (353У.9152.001) are used in the course of testing of "Pamela" RH

as part of the article.

4. TEST ACTIVATIONS OF "PAMELA" RH WITH

SUPPORT SYSTEMS OF THE ARTICLE

Test activations of "Pamela" RH with support systems are composed of

two parts: PAM TA and PAM TA with HSRL.

4.1 Procedure of PAM TA.

PAM TA are obtained using RAM Program 42 "Pamela" RH control in

TA" and test program ЖР67. The hardware control is performed by nominal pro-

gram А11.

RAM Program 42 is intended for:

- generation of ID for program А11 and the hardware,

- initiation of А11 program inputs at the necessary moments of time (ac-

cording to the time diagram),

- on-board and ground software synchronization,

- gaining CD by the test program through route mark (“RM”) channel,

- debugging test of MCMD "Lock the transmitter" and MCMD "Unlock

the transmitter" by the Terminal.

Prior PAM TA it is necessary to put BTMS in operational mode "ЗАП4",

ПрБ1.

PAM TA consist of the following fragments: "RH test, "Operation in tech-

nological regime", "GS test ".

It is possible to debug each fragment separately. The point of fragment de-

bugging is determined by availability of "1" in the position corresponded with

fragment’s number, GV "VPAMTA" (variant of «Pamela» RH test activations).

The distribution of positions GV "VPAMTA" is given below:

This variable is specified from the planning program КП6 prior ЖР67 ini-

tiation by input 1 and is transmitted to RAM Program42 by switching on and off

the "ПИ КТП", "ПИСУД" indicators from program ЖР67.

If necessary "Pamela" RH operation on a special program is provided in-

cluding "Pamela" RH dismantling from the article and testing by means of "Pam-

ela" RH GSE.

4.1.1 Procedure of PAM TA fragment 1 – "RH test".

Time diagram of this fragment is given in fig. 1.

The following activities are performed on this fragment:

test of hardware/CRPDS communication (transmission of all CC provided

for "Pamela" RH by buses Еок1 and Еок2),

test of "Pamela" RH/BTSC communication (operation under alternate dis-

connection of primary and standby synchrosignals issue channels),

debugging test of MCMD "Lock the transmitter" and MCMD "Unlock the

transmitter" by the Terminal.

For this purpose four "Pamela" RH activations are performed: the first one

and the third one - with bus Еок2 being disconnected, the second one and the

fourth one – with bus Еок1 being disconnected. For it under the second activation

the first BTCS synchrosignals channel is active, under the third one - the second

BTCS synchrosignals channel is active.

Connection and disconnection of buses Еок1 and Еок2 and also connec-

tion/disconnection of BTCS channels are performed by program ЖР67.

In case of disconnection of channel 1 BTCS, channel 2 BTCS, connection

of channels (after debugging of input 1, 2, 3 of program Б76 respectively) attribute

"ABN BTCS" is analyzed by program ЖР67. When this attribute=1 "PAM ABN"

GV (abnormal completion of "Pamela" RH test activations) of value =1 is formed

and drift to line 50 is performed.

Program ЖР67 is initiated by input 1 from the planning program before the

beginning of fragment 1 and RAM Program 42 is initiated right after OP loading.

First program ЖР67 verifies temperature TM-parameters of "Pamela" RH

for compliance with allowed values. If there is no "ABN" then program ЖР67

executes board timing. For it ЖР67 sets indicator "ПИ КТП" to 0 ("ПИ КТП" is

on) and for two minutes it controls "МТ1" signal generated by RAM Terminal42

with the state of "ПИ КТП" indicator being changed from “on” to “off” ("ПИ

КТП" indicator status poll is performed by RAM Program42 with a period of

Т=1sec).

If "МТ1" signal is generated in due time ЖР67 program’s actions are as

follows:

-Within 3 seconds after synchronization ЖР67 changes "ПИ КТП" indica-

tor state by issuing CC "Off ПИ КТП" or CC "On ПИ КТП" and also issues CC

"On ПИ СУД" or "Off ПИ СУД" depending on the first position of GV "V PAM

TA" (for unit position of GV "V PAM TA" CC "Off ПИ СУД" is issued and for it

"ПИ СУД" indicator value=1).

- in 3 seconds after synchronization RAM Program42 performs control of

"ПИ КТП" indicator state and in case of its change it inserts "1" in position 1 of

its working cell "ВРАБ" if "ПИ СУД"=1 or – 0 if "ПИ СУД"=0;

- after that the rest three positions of "ВРАБ" variable are generated with

a period of 3 sec similarly to the above. So within 12 seconds from the

moment of synchronization the transmission of data on PAM TA frag-

ments processing on board is completed.

Then program ЖР67 executes the second RAM Program 42 timing with

zeroing the on-board time scale (ТБШВ) and time counters in the GTC and

BTMS. This is performed as follows:

-RAM program records the value=525258 in GV «КДБСК1.КОД» and

ТБШВ=0 in GV «ВЯ БСУ»;

- RAM program enters the setting of the time interval УВИД=tбшв +3sec.

for reference to the mark of seconds for activation of program A40 by input 1.

- during 3 seconds program ЖР67 controls the generation of "МТ" signal

(140478), formed by A40 program.

After that, program ЖР67 (If "МТ" signal from program A40 is generated

in due time) executes clearance of time meters at GTS and BTMS and proceeds

with its work according to the timing diagram.

Upon completion of the fragment debugging program ЖР67 executes dis-

connection of "ПИ КТП" indicator.

In abnormal completion of PAM TA (no "МТ1", abnormal temperature pa-

rameters, a unit value of GV "N BTCS", etc) program ЖР67 forms GV "PAM

ABN"=1.

In the process of its operation in this fragment RAM Program 42 executes

connection of program А11 inputs to carry out:

- test of "Pamela" RH/BCtS communication channel (DTL А),

- issue of MCMD "Time synchronization", "Mode selection" with an at-

tribute of TRD purge inhibition, "Pamela" RH test”,

- debugging test of MCMD "Lock the transmitter" and MCMD "Unlock

the transmitter" by the Terminal,

- request of the status word of the hardware after it was subjected to some

activities.

RAM Program 42 also forms the following signals:

"МТ1" – in case of “on” condition of "ПИ КТП" indicator during timing;

"МТ2" – in case of no “on” condition of "ПИ КТП" indicator during tim-

ing;

"МТ3" – if "Pamela" RH status word with zero positions is available;

"МТ4" – if "Pamela" RH status word with nonzero positions is available or

no exchange via MCL.

Debugging of MCMD "Lock/unlock the receiver-transmitter" is performed

by the Terminal in the following order:

1) MCMD "Lock the transmitter" is issued to the hardware through DTL A

and this command causes DTL B receiver-transmitter to be locked;

2) After that RAM Program 42 sets DTL A fault sign to "1" (GV

"КДСПЛ2" [1]=1) and activates input 16 of program А11 where MCL

exchange being executed. The exchange is started by DTL B and is not

executed (no OS) as DTL B receiver-transmitter is locked. Program

A11 forms coded CD А11-0=448 and =638;

3) Then after zeroing the anomaly flag of DTL1 A (КДСПЛ2[1]=0) RAM

Program 42 issues MCMD "Unlock the transmitter" to Pamela through

DTL A, zeroes GV "НРЛПИБ" (70411[2]=0), sets КДСПЛ2[1] into

“1” and activates input 16 of program А11 where DTL B exchange is

completed normally and program А11 forms coded CD А11-0=0;

4) After that RAM Program 42 through DTL B it issues MCMD "Lock the

transmitter" to Pamela and the command causes DTL A transmitter to

be locked;

5) Then RAM Program 42 sets DTL A fault attribute to "0" (GV

"КДСПЛ2" [1]=0) and activates input 16 of program А11 where MCL

exchange being executed again. As DTL A receiver-transmitter is

locked, the exchange is not executed (no OS), program А11 forms

coded CD А11-0=208 and goes to DTL B where the exchange is com-

pleted nominally;

6) Then RAM Program 42 issues MCMD "Unlock the transmitter" by

DTL B;

7) After that RAM Program 42 zeroes DTL A exchange impossibility at-

tribute for program А11 (GV "НРЛПИА" (70412[9]=0) and activates

program А11 by entry 16. DTL A exchange is executed nominally

(coded CD А11-0=0).

Controlling the status word (StW) RAM Program 42 executes the follow-

ing: it issues MCMD “OFF GS” if "УНН" parameter (positions 1-4) =1 or 2, if the

value =1 for positions 11, 12, 13 it activates program А11 by input 13 for emer-

gency deactivation of "Pamela" RH.

In fragment 1 RAM Program 42 forms the following ID for program А11

and the hardware:

- MCMD "RH test".

4.1.2 Procedure of PAM TA fragment 2 – "Technological operation".

For this fragment the hardware is activated nominally, the 2, 3 and 6-rd

protection unit, memory module А, standby sources of low and high ND voltage

are ON. A2 operational mode is debugged. The following MCMD are debugged by

the hardware: "PCSU S/W correction", "Memory unload", "History zone reboot".

The time diagram is given in figure 9. Time sync of ground and on-board software

operation is made in the same way as in item 4.1.1.

In this fragment CD2 shall be taken off with micro OP№*** being pre-

recorded for reading the data array off WM BCtS 510008 address of size 2048 16-

digit words.

4.1.3 Procedure of PAM TA fragments 3, 4 – "GS test".

The time diagram of the fragments is given in figures 9,10. Time sync of

ground and on-board software operation is made in the same way as in item 4.1.1.

Fragment 3 is executed both for technological and flight "Pamela" RH pro-

totype.

In this fragment GS is tested for what concerns TRD purging, release of

differential pressure from PC. Fragment 4 is executed with a flight prototype only.

A general nominal purging of TRD is carried out. The duration of this fragment is

about 7 hours. During these hours "Pamela" RH status is under control of nominal

program А11 input 11 (request of the hardware for a status word with 10 sec pe-

riod) and test program ЖР67 input 3 (schematic TM).

For debugging of fragments 3, 4 RAM Program 42 forms the following ID:

4.2 Procedure of PAM/HSRL TA.

Before PAM/HSRL TA start ЖР 67 program is activated by input 5 from

the planning program. RAM program 43 is activated immediately after loading the

operational program. Nominal A11 program controls Pamela.

Prior debugging this fragment it is necessary to re-activate HSRL without

warming-up and to initiate BDTS to mode "ЗАП8", ПрБ1. HSRL initiation is re-

corded by tapes of open TM recording.

PAM/HSRL TA consist of 2 fragments: “Nominal operation, checkout of

spare electronics” and “Checkout of connection with HSRL” .

It is possible to debug each fragment separately. The point of fragment de-

bugging is determined by availability of "1" in the position corresponded with

fragment’s number, GV "VPAMTA" (variant of «Pamela» RH test activa-

tions).The distribution of bits of this variable, its assignment and uplinking of in-

formation on the performance of PAM/HSRL TA fragments is analogous to the

described under 4.1 and 4.1.1.

4.2.1 Procedure of PAM/HSRL TA fragment 1 – "Nominal operation,

standby electronics test".

The diagram of debugging this fragment by the hardware is given in Fig 4.

Time sync of ground and on-board software operation is made in the same

way as in item 4.1.1.

"Pamela" RH GSE/HSRL GTE connection diagram is given in Fig 7.

For debugging this fragment of PAM TA it is necessary to connect per-

sonal computer (PC) of "Pamela" RH GSE and HSRL GTE and also to initiate

RAM Program 13 input 1 developed by department 1107 from RAM Program 43

to initiate HSRL OBE in due time (not less than 100 sec prior the first Тнм1-

exchange session). GSE is to be connected to "Pamela" RH (through connector of

BCS Х «ГН15Т.10»).

For this testing fragment "Pamela" RH is activated twice. The first activa-

tion of the hardware is executed by initiation of nominal program А11 in input 1

from RAM Program 43. The 1, 4, 6-th protection units (PU), memory module А,

primary sources of low and high ND voltage are initiated. After nominal activation

the hardware is in В4 mode of operation.

After that by consequent initiations of program A11 in inputs 9, 6 RAM

Program 43 provides for issue of MCMD: "Orbit information (CMMP)", "Time

synchronization".

Then RAM Program 43 provides for transmission of AP arrays to the

hardware within 10 minutes with 3 sec period by repeated initiations of program

A11 in input 6 for simulation of similar conditions in the course of nominal opera-

tion of "Pamela" RH.

After that RAM Program 43 performs ССА zone query (by initiating pro-

gram А11 in input 15), rewrite of 12 ССА zone words to BCtS RAM and "МТ3"

signal transmission to GTS RAM via "МТ" channel in case all CCА zone parame-

ters are normal.

Then RAM Program 43 performs testing of trigger system of the first and

second level in the following way:

- MCMD are issued for activation of the first main trigger and the first

trigger for high-energy electrons (by initiating program А11 in input 6);

- in 10 minutes MCMD are issued to the hardware for activation of the

second main trigger and the second trigger for high-energy electrons;

- in 10 more minutes MCMD are issued for activation of the first standby

trigger and the third trigger of high-energy electrons;

- with a period of 10 minutes MCMD are issued for activation of the sec-

ond standby trigger, the first trigger for Brazilian anomaly, the second

trigger for Brazilian anomaly and the third trigger for Brazilian anom-

aly;

- in 10 more minutes MCMD are issued for activation of the first main

trigger and second level trigger "Spectrometer" of the trigger system;

- in 10 minutes MCMD is issued for activation of second level trigger

"trigger";

- in 10 minutes MCMD is issued for activation of second level trigger

"АС inhibition";

- in 10 minutes MCMD is issued for activation of second level trigger

"TOF";

- in 10 more minutes MCMD are issued for activation of the first trigger

by default, the first trigger of high-energy electrons and for deactivation

of all second level triggers.

After that RAM Program 43 provides for HSRL exchange session for

transmission of the accumulated scientific data via HSRL OBE and HSRL GTE

relay to "Pamela" RH GSE for processing and making a conclusion. This exchange

session is carried out using the main exchange adapter in the main data transmis-

sion channel.

Then RAM Program 43 including program А11 in input 6 provides for is-

sue of MCMD "Mode selection" to the hardware, ССА zone query for transmis-

sion to GTS RAM and the following (in 20 sec) "Pamela" RH deactivation (by ini-

tiating program А11 in input 2).

After that the second hardware activation is executed in this fragment. It is

also executed by initiation of nominal program А11 in input 1 from RAM Program

43. After nominal activation the hardware is in В4 mode of operation.

Then RAM Program 43 provides for issue of MCMD for connection of

standby electronics of the tracker, trigger, С4 and system "I-DAQ".

After that the first and second level triggers are tested the way it’s specified

above.

After that RAM Program 43 provides for HSRL exchange session for

transmission of the accumulated scientific data via HSRL OBE and HSRL GTE

relay to "Pamela" RH GSE for processing and concluding.

4.2.1.1 Order of gaining information from HSRL GTE.

1) HSRL GTE records (to flight time diagram) information obtained

from technological output of HSRL OBE during PAM/HSRL TA

or from nominal output of HSRL OBE during JO and IT;

2) Information of each recorded route is conversed into a file;

3) After completing PAM TA fragment HSRL GTE converses in-

formation into the original form – information packets at HSRL

OBE input;

4) When the information is conversed HSRL GTE by request of

"Pamela" RH GSE issues information via ЛВС "FAST

EHERNET" at a rate of 100 Мbaud (real transmission rate – 2-5

MB/s). "Pamela" RH GSE request consists in the following:

"Pamela" RH operator opens "Pamela" directory (with conse-

quent opening of all embedded directories) in PC being part of

HSRL GTE and transfers necessary files to PC being part of

"Pamela" RH GSE.

The structure of the information in directory "Pamela" of HSRL GTE PC is

as follows:

- The directory with a number and date of the fragment –

"ФХУ_АБ_ВГ_ДЕ_ЖЗ", where: Ф - fragment,

Х – number of the fragment,

У – sequence number for the fragment

iteration,

АБ – month.

ВГ – date,

ДЕ – hours,

ЖЗ – minutes;

- "MN" directory with the number of the route in this PAM TA fragment,

4.2.2 Procedure of PAM/HSRL TA fragment 2 – "Test of HSRL com-munication channels". The time diagram of this fragment is given in Figure 7.

Time sync of ground and on-board software operation is made in the same

way as in item 4.1.1.

"Pamela" RH GSE/HSRL GTE connection diagram is given in Fig 6.

In this fragment RAM Program 43 provides the following activities:

- timely (not less than 100 sec before the beginning of the first Тнм1-

exchange session) initiation of RAM Program 13 input 1 for activation

of HSRL OBE,

- the hardware change over to operational mode А0 (by initiating program

А11 in input 6),

- issue of MCMD "BITE" with a test 16-digit word to fill RH memory

with test information (by initiating program А11 in input 6),

- issue of MCMD "Mode selection" to memorize "prototype" in "Pamela"

RH and to set no-file read mode (by initiating program А11 in input 6),

- managing four HSRL exchange sessions (by successive fourfold refer-

ence to program А11 in input 10),

- the hardware change over to operational mode А0 (by initiating pro-

gram А11 in input 6),

- issue of MCMD "Memory packing" to activate memory module В (by

initiating program А11 in input 6),

- issue of MCMD "BITE" with a test 16-digit word to fill RH memory

with test information (by initiating program А11 in input 6),

- issue of MCMD "Mode selection" to memorize "prototype" in "Pamela"

In the third fragment five exchange sessions are provided: with a main ex-

change adapter in the primary and standby sub-channel №19, with a standby ex-

change adapter in the primary and standby sub-channel №19, the fifth exchange

session is executed with a main adapter in the primary exchange channel.

In this fragment memory module A is active during sessions 1, 2, 3 and

memory module B – during session 5.

To perform this test assembly program ПрБ1 and operational mode

"ЗАП8" of BDTS are initiated not late than 1minute prior the first activation of

HSRL.

For debugging of fragment 3 RAM Program 42 forms the following ID:

checked: with Resource on-board computer system (by sending MCMD to Pamela

both via MCL line A and line B), with HSRL on-board equipment (by performing

five download sessions with the main and spare channels), with BTMS (by check-

ing TM-parameters with reference values), with BTCS (by sending synchro sig-

nals via channels 1 and 2), with CRPDS (by sending CC via buses Еок1 and

Еок2).

5. Joint Operation of Pamela and HSRL

During this testing phase operation of Pamela and HSRL on-board equip-

ment will be checked when research data (test data) are being downloaded from

Pamela’s memory into the target data memory of HSRL on-board equipment.

Before joint operation HSRL should be re-activated without warming-up.

Joint operation is performed using RAM program 45 " Pamela ‘s control

during download session", ЖP68, RAM program 13 " HSRL on-board equipment

control during download session " and testing program ОР63 of department 1107.

Pamela’s GSE/HSRL testing equipment is given in Fig.12.

Time diagram is given in Materials of electric and diagnostic tests of HSRL

(353П-46КС-23286-1107).

Time sync of ground and on-board software operation is made in the same

way as in item 4.1.1.

Pamela is planned to be switched on by A11 program activation via input

1. After four download sessions Pamela is planned to be switched off by A11 pro-

gram activation via input 2.

The first download session is performed with the main adapter in the main

sub-channel #19, the second one is performed with the main adapter in the spare

sub-channel #19, the third one is with the spare adapter in the main sub-channel

#19, the fourth is with the spare adapter in the spare sub-channel #19.

Before each download session (at least 3 minutes before it starts) RAM

program 43 arranges the issue of "BITE” MCMD with the test 16-bit word by acti-

vation of A11 program via input 6. During joint operation with Pamela RAM pro-

gram 43 forms the following initial data for A11 program:

6. INTEGRATED TESTS OF PAMELA

During integrated tests all initial data for Pamela are assigned in the opera-

tional program.

Pamela’s participation in the integrated tests of “Resource-DK” SC implies

the following items:

1) Before the beginning of the first mode Р10 Pamela is switched on

nominally (by activation of A11 program via input 1 from the operational pro-

gram);

2) After finishing the activation process (at least 550 seconds after A11 ac-

tivation via input 1) the following MCMDs are sent to Pamela:

- MCMD “Select Mode” (1) to transfer Pamela into the stand –by mode

(for this purpose MCMD “Select Mode” should be included into RAM area of

A11 program, starting with the GV”MCMD.CODE5”, A11 program should be

activated by input 6),

- “BITE”MCMD to fill Pamela’s memory with test data (for this pur-

pose MCMD "BITE" should be included into RAM area of A11 program, start-

ing with the GV ”MCMD.CODE5”, A11 program should be activated by input

6).

- 10 seconds later MCMD “Select Mode” (2) to make the imitating

model in Pamela’s memory (for this purpose MCMD “Select Mode” should be

included into RAM area of A11 program, starting with the GV

”MCMD.CODE5”, A11 program should be activated by input 6).

3) Between 5 and 6 min later Pamela participates in the first download ses-

sion with HSRL OBE in the first mode P10 (by activation of program A11via input

10 from program Р10), download session lasts 200 seconds;

4) When the first download session is finished (10 seconds later), the fol-

lowing MCMD are sent to Pamela:

- MCMD “Select Mode” (3) to make the imitating model in Pamela’s

memory (for this purpose MCMD “Select Mode” should be included into

RAM area of A11 program, starting with the GV ”MCMD.CODE5”, A11 pro-

gram should be activated by input 6).

- 2 to 5 minutes after issue of MCMD according to item 4) MCMD “Se-

lect Mode” (4) is issued with the initial data to calibrate Pamela (for this pur-

pose MCMD “Select Mode” should be included into RAM area of A11 pro-

gram, starting with the GV ”MCMD.CODE5”, A11 program should be acti-

vated by input 6).

- 10 seconds later “Calibrate” MCMD is issued (by activation of A11

program via input 37)

- 3 minutes after “Calibrate” MCMD issue, MCMD “Select Mode” (5)

is issued to transfer Pamela into the mode of particle counting (for this purpose

MCMD “Select Mode” should be included into RAM area of A11 program,

starting with the GV ”MCMD.CODE5”, A11 program should be activated by

input 6).

5) Between 1 and 2 hours later Pamela participates in the second

download session with HSRL OBE (in the 3d mode P10), download session

lasts 200 seconds.

6) Pamela is switched off nominally (by activation of program

A11 via input 2 from the operational program).

The following initial data should be formed before A11 program activation

via input 1:

-GV "ЗВРПК"=1;

- GV "ВРБУЗП"=1;

- GV "КДБЗ"=258;

- GV "БЛПАМ"=0;

- GV "ВРНИЗН"=0;

- GV "ВРВЫСН"=0;

- GV "КДМАСК"=0;

Pamela’s GSE receives research data according to 4.2.1.1, but HSRL GTE

takes data from the nominal HSRL output.

7. AMOUNT OF PAMELA’S RETESTING AFTER REPLACEMENT OF

ITS COMPONENTS OR REPLACEMENT OF “RESOURCE DK” SC

SUPPORT SYSTEMS

After replacement of Pamela’s components as well as “Resource DK” SC

systems or units connected with Pamela, test activation using “Resource DK” SC

support systems should be repeated within the following amount:

- for replacement of on-board computer system, CRPDS, BDTS, BTCS –

fragment 1 of Pamela’s test activation;

- for replacement of HSRL – fragment 2 of Pamela’s test activation with

HSRL;

- for replacement of Pamela’s components – full Pamela’s test activation

and full Pamela’s test activation with HSRL;

8. Estimation of operating time

Automated estimation of Pamela’s operating time in hours is made by signalling

parameter "ПИТ ПАМ" (Pamela’s power supply) by summation of times when

this parameter is in the closed status.

Estimation of the number of Pamela’s activations is also made by signaling

parameter "ПИТ ПАМ" (Pamela’s power supply) by summation of the number of

closures of this parameter.

9. ORDER OF PAMELA’S ACTIVATION, DEACTIVATION AND RE-

SET

Before Pamela’s activation, make sure that all Pamela’s connectors are

mated nominally, besides display "PAM CMC" shall be highlighted on digital

typewriter.

Activation of the hardware during TA with support systems of the article

(PAM TA and PAM/HSRL TA) and also during JO and IT is executed by nominal

program А11 (except PAM TA fragment 1). Prior activation of the hardware the

following support systems of the article shall be connected and ready for work:

BCtS, CRPDS, BDTS in modes ЗАП4, ПрБ1, BTCS, HSRL OBE (if necessary).

The hardware is completely deactivated during nominal operation under

CC "OFF PSCU", issued by program А11.

If emergent deactivation of the hardware is necessary the following CC se-

quence shall be issued:

"IPM 1-2 off", " IPM 3-4 off", " IPM 5-6 off", "PSCU off", "ND off", "GS

off", "GS stand-by", "ND power bus off", "Pamela’s power bus off".

In emergent power cut off from the article it is necessary to initiate test

program ЖР67 in input 6 after power restoration to issue the above commands.

Then work with "Pamela" RH in normal mode of operation.

Initial condition of "Pamela" RH is regarded as its deactivated condition it

is in after nominal deactivation of the hardware. Initial condition of "Pamela" RH

ПС-parameters is as follows:

"PAM P"=0, "ND"=0.
