10 Malaysian dental students from Uni. of Malaya, Malaysia visited IU to further their experience in den stry & experience life in Cambodia.

The Faculty has had a busy me over the past three months. Six of our lecturers and tutors have been appointed as Associate Professor – including Vice Dean Dr. Som Vi-cheth, Dr. Chav Bunhean, Dr. Kong Pheakdey, Dr. Tuon Hak, Dr. Veng Sonita, and Dr . Soeun Sopharith. The dental clinic con nues to provide excellent service to the public – including children from many orphanages and poor communi es. We were very fortunate to receive a large dona on of dental supplies from one of larg-est dental companies in the world – Henry Schein Inc. This helps to keep our prices low. The dental students have been busy both inside and outside the faculty – with some traveling abroad for exchange, and some travelling to the provinces to provide dental services to prisoners and the poor. These experiences are helping to develop the clinical skills of the students – as well as exposing them to the real problems that many Cambodians face in accessing dental care.
