N ew Secondary EducationCurriculum was implemented in 

1992/93. The major subject areas are 

science, mathematics, technology, Filipino, English, and civics/national 

culture. Technical and vocational 

education was also revised and adapted to technological progress and 

employment needs in recent 

years.
