Global Leader in BIM Services www.pinnaclecad.com innacle created the 3D Model of Vyom Building P (consisting of 5 Blocks in 12 Floors with Roof and Basement Levels 1 & 2) - a residential project in Kolkata, West Bengal spread over a project area of 872,540 sq. ft. so that our client can check the possible interference among building systems before construction. Challenges & Solutions Solution: We worked with Newforma Drawing Control System, raised RFIs and communicated with the client through email and Go-to-Meeting to resolve our concerns. We have to rework on the basement level for 3D Model Creation, BBS Quantity Extraction and Coordination for accomodating changes as per the revised designs. Scope of Work Trades Covered: Architecture, Structure, MEP Software Used: Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel LOD: 400 Our scope of work for the project included Creation of 3d Models for Architectural, Structural & MEP trades, Clash Coordination among all trades, Clash Report Preparation for PS-Group & other Consultants, GFC Drawing Validation provided by respective consultants (constructability review), BOQ Extraction (Bill of Quantity) in detail and BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) preparation. We have also provided As- built Update as per mark-up. Input Inconsistencies & Design Changes: We have faced many input inconsistencies and have to work with multiple drawing changes. Moreover, there was delay in receiving input and revision was not maintained in a proper format. BIM End Date October, 2016 Timeline Challeges: We have received only 2-3 weeks of time for providing the Clash Coordination Report, BOQ and BBS. Solution: Since our BIM team has the expertise to meet an aggressive deadline, we have provided the deliverables within the given time frame. No. of Clashes resolved- 17 Clashes Resolved among Various Trades including Architecture, Structure & MEP in Basement Level 1 + 2 (for instance Sprinkler Pipe and Sprinkler Clashing with Drainage Pipe in Basement 2, Fire Sprinkler Pipe Clashing with Drainage Riser in Basement 2, Cut-out for Riser missing in Basement 2). Our 3D models helped to visualize the schematic structures before construction and thus offered better project planning for our client.
