SCHOLARSHIPS & TOOLSHIPS
Seriously! Who doesn’t like free $$ College is expensive. Tools and equipment can also be costly when you are
first entering a trade. As a technical school, we value both career-bound and
college-bound paths and want to ensure that students, regardless of their
paths, are provided with opportunities to be equipped not only with the skills,
but the resources to be successful.
Q: Who can apply?
A: All career-bound and college-bound students can apply!
Q: How do I get started?
A: Log into your Naviance account and determine which community
toolships/scholarships you are eligible for and save them to your Naviance
profile to apply. Additionally, review the donor scholarship/toolship listing in
the following pages, and print applications for which you are eligible. Lastly,
complete the B-P General Scholarship/Toolship Application. The application,
rubric, and a list of the awards are included in the following pages.

Scholarships/Toolships
Resource for accessing scholarships & toolships
Take the time now, to save money later!
Toolship vs. Scholarship Toolships are financial resources that help career-bound students
defray the cost of tools, equipment, uniforms, certifications/licenses,
or other trade-related expenses. Scholarships provide financial
resources to college-bound students to assist with books, room,
board, or tuition. We encourage both career– and college-bound
students to apply for all toolships and scholarships for which they
are eligible.
Funding for scholarships/toolships can change from one year to the next, therefore some scholarships/toolships in this
booklet may not be active. Additionally, funding amounts can change from year to year. In general, however, the
information contained in this booklet about specific scholarships/toolships has been relatively consistent over the past
few years.
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
Community Scholarships and Toolships are local and national scholarships and toolships.
Organizations who fund these awards share their information with B-P guidance
counselors. Guidance counselors post these scholarships and toolships on Naviance so they
can be accessible to students.
There are over 100 scholarships/toolships active on the scholarship list in Naviance.
