The ScanMachine is a device specially designed for lenticular photography, 3D photography and "timelapse" photography . The ScanMachine is controlled by a microprocessor and can be programmed in detail : movements of the camera, positions of shooting, triggering of the camera, and all control timings can be set to perform a precise process : Number of positions: from 2 to 5000 Number of views: from 2 to 5000 views Speed: from 6 seconds/meter to 600 seconds/meter the length of the base, the direction of movement, the acceleration and motor power are programmable. displacement between two pictures can be very precise and very small (<1 mm) chronology can be finely programmed to best adapt to your project: time between views, activation delay of auto-focus, activation delay of shutter, start delay, etc. ... The ScanMachine is a device specially designed for lenticular photography, 3D photography and "timelapse" photography .

The ScanMachine is controlled by a microprocessor and can be programmed in detail : movements of the camera, positions of shooting, triggering of the camera, and all control timings can be set to perform a precise process :

Number of positions: from 2 to 5000

Number of views: from 2 to 5000 views

Speed: from 6 seconds/meter to 600 seconds/meter

the length of the base, the direction of movement, the acceleration and motor power are programmable.

displacement between two pictures can be very precise and very small (<1 mm)

chronology can be finely programmed to best adapt to your project: time between views, activation delay of auto-focus, activation delay of shutter, start delay, etc. ... The times may be set in milliseconds, seconds, minutes or hours.

Several modes are available:

STOP & SHOOT mode: the camera moves and stops at every shot. Suitable for all processes, even when the shutter speed is slow.

NO STOP mode: Pictures are taken while the camera is moving along the rails, which speeds up the process significantly, but needs to use a shutter speed high enough to avoid blurred pictures (depending on the speed of movement)

CONTINUOUS SHOOTING mode: the camera is set to burst mode and shooting is performed during the translation: the process is particularly fast, because it is only limited by shooting rate of the camera : as an example, shooting of 24 images on a 1 meter length can be achieved in 6 seconds with a Canon 5D markII.

TIMELAPSE mode enables you to take timelapse pictures with great precision of movement and a great number of pictures (up to 5000).

CUSTOM mode: all parameters can be set, allowing you to program the ScanMachine in details.

mode RESET: resets the ScanMachine to factory settings.

The machine can be fixed on two tripods (on at each side).

The machine can be disassembled and transported easily . The total weight is 5 kg with 1 meter long rails (without camera, bracket and tripods).

Rail length can be adapted to the user (from 50cm to 2.5 meters). The rails are steel tubes of 25mm diameter 25mm, available in many stores. In case of changing the length of the rails, a calibration program allows the ScanMachine to determine automatically the limits of the rail.

Function keys (Right, Left, Center) are available to move the machine to the right limit or to the left limit or to the center of rail to facilitate the framing of the subject (these keys are functional when the display shows (Next) ---> Program)

The length of the base (ie the length of travel of the camera during the process of shooting) can vary from 3cm up to the length of rails, minus 3cm.

The ScanMachine run on batteries (8-cell AAA - alkaline or NiMH batteries) or on a external power supply (12volts, 1A).

A jack plug is available to trigger the ScanMachine with a single switch: with a cable, a remote control system or any other similar system. A release cable to start the machine is delivered with the machine.

Any camera that has an external trigger plug can be used with ScanMachine (specify connector type when ordering: Jack Canon, Canon N3, Nikon 10 pin, etc.).

Note:The maximum speed of 6s/meter is guaranteed only when operating on external power source (12v, 1A).When used on a battery pack, the maximum speed could be reduced to 8 seconds/meter if the batteries are not strong enough or if they are not sufficiently charged.
