training session for all students
participating in the CFA Institute
Research Challenge. This will
happen from 1-2 October and we
need your help to teach these
students how to create world
class equity analysis. Please reply

Let’s make the Research
Challenge Thailand’s #1
finance competition
We have joined with Career
Connect this year to reach out to
more universities to increase the
number of participating teams in
the Research Challenge to 15 from
10. In addition, we will host our first
weekend “Finance Boot Camp” for
all participating teams from 1-2
October. The purpose is to raise
the value of the Research
Challenge for students.
Please share your
knowledge
In the Finance Boot Camp we will
need about 10 different volunteers
who can teach and mentor the
students on various subject areas
in finance such as: valuation,
competitor analysis, structuring
an argument, accounting, giving a
great presentation, marketing,
handling objections, etc.

Did you know that the Asia Pacific
Regional Round of the CFA
Research Challenge will be held in
Bangkok on 15-16 March 2017? We
will be welcoming 25 teams
presenting from around the region.
Very soon we will be asking for
volunteers to help with this event,
in particular we need as many as 10
judges.

Bausparkasen – A prospective scheme
promoting home ownership in Thailand
On 10 August, Government
Housing Bank (GH Bank) and
Germany’s Association of Private
Bausparkassen jointly hosted a
very successful seminar. About
200 industry professionals
attended including our society
members.
Wisudhi Srisuphan, Deputy
Minister of Finance outlined
government consideration of
housing finance programs that
are based on Bausparkassen
savings-before- mortgage loan
principles. He also said
government policy is to offer more
home ownership opportunities to
increase Thai quality of life.
Andreas Zehnder, chairman of the
German Association of
Bausparkassen and President of
the International Union of Housing
Finance said Germany currently
has 22 bausparkassen.

wave of brand campaign in Hong
Kong, Singapore and Australia after
its first launch in India, China, US
and UK. The campaign in Hong Kong
was launched in Hong Kong on 15
August in close collaboration with

Analysts. The advertisements can
be found on various channels
including print, digital, radio, social
