Minimalist design

Light is more. The design of our sophisticated Artline XL sliding door lets in as much natural light as possible. The recessed threshold and inset frames maximise the area of glass and create a sense of lightness and openness.

Sapa Artline XL Sliding Door

Minimal

Elegantly bringing the outside inside, the Artline window is art with a purpose - quality, lightness and comfort. Its design implies a conscious effort to create an art object that is both functionally and aesthetically pleasing. Creative both in its design and in its effect on the building and the user, Artline XL is contempory architecture.

Design

The impression of extreme simplicity and lightness of Artline is a result of the special attention given to the combined action between glass, frame-less windows, elegant lighting and careful architectural consideration of spaces where light is more. The sophisticated minimalist design of Artline XL creates a light and fluid appearance, even for large fix and open-able windows.

Large openings

Door sheets can be up to 3.5 m high. You have the choice of single-sided opening with one or two sliding doors, or two-sided opening with two sliding doors. There is also a “floating corner” solution with doors that open at 90° to each other.

7

Page 8: Sapa Selection

8

Page 9: Sapa Selection

Ideal for large openings

Our lift-and-slide door combines attractive design with durability and the ultimate convenience. A highly insulated, robust and user-friendly design makes this an excellent choice for new builds and conversions in outer walls.

Lift-and-Slide Door 2160 S

User-friendly and well insulated

Sapa’s frame insulation and seals limit heat loss as effectively as possible, giving excellent resistance to draughts and water penetration, and ensuring good comfort and low energy consumption. Rigid stainless steel tracks and large corrosion resistant rollers ensure good durability and allow doors up to 3.1 m wide to slide easily, smoothly and quietly.

Hidden fixing points, specially designed end pieces and a slim door profile give 2160 S a harmonious look. The threshold is designed to be recessed into the floor.

Choice of options

When the handle is raised the door can easily be “parked” in any position. 2160 S can also be fitted with a locking mechanism to permit ventilation at night. 2160 S is available with special options such as multipoint locking, safety glazing and special fittings to enhance security to burglar-resistance class 2.

Page 11: Sapa Selection

Elegant and user-friendly

An insulated sliding door with an elegant modern appearance. In triple-track specification with three doors it allows very wide openings. Ideal for insulated conservatories and orangeries.

Sapa Sliding Door 2115

Slender, with a look of quality

Elegant design with narrow meeting profiles, just 35 mm wide, which maximise the view and bring nature into your room. Doors run silently on stainless steel rollers and tracks. The frame can be partially inset into the wall and the threshold can be recessed into the floor to reduce the lip height.

Performance:

Doors up to 1.4 m wide and 2.4 m high. Siding doors can be specified with two sliding doors in a twin-track frame, or with three sliding doors in a triple-track frame. Designed for double-glazed units with a maximum weight of 160 kg. The sliding door has an espagnolette with three locking points, and a wide choice of handles is available.

We recommend it for insulated conservatories and orangeries where requirements are not as stringent as for glazing in the outer wall, but where an impression of quality is important.

For every location

The sliding French window combines effective insulation with good resistance to draughts and water penetration. The door leaf can be tilted inwards to provide ventilation.

Sapa Sliding French Window 1086

Seals for exposed locations

Fully welded centre seals on all sides ensure excellent resistance to draughts and rain. A raised threshold provides better protection against leaks in exposed locations. The sliding French window permits wide openings and is available in two insulation grades, 1086 insulated and 1086 SX high-insulated.

Opening options

The sliding French window runs on a track on the inside and slides completely to one side, parallel with the fixed section. In the closed position, the door is flush with the fixed window section. The sliding French window can be tilted inwards to provide venti-lation. It is easy to open and close since it runs on dual rollers on an aluminium track.

Locks and fittings

The sliding French window is fitted with an espagnolette lock. Sliding French windows can be equipped with a cylinder lock for locking from the inside or from the inside and outside. Fittings are concealed, which gives the door a cleaner design.

Classic French window

A French window with effective insulation, excellent resistance to draughts and water penetration, and good acoustic performance. An excellent traditional solution that can be combined with windows or large glazed sections with toplights.

Sapa French Window 1086, outward-opening

Doors and glazing in harmony

The French window is a part of our window system 1086, which also includes windows, fixed glazing, sliding terrace doors and folding French doors. These share the same basic design, and when they are combined with each other create glazed walls with a harmonious look. The design is reliable and and well proven.

Specifications

The French window can be specified as a single door with a maximum width of 1125 mm and maximum height of 2350 mm. It can be supplied fully glazed, or with parts of the door fitted with infill panels. Glazing bars can also be added. Suitable for balconies, terraces and decks.

The rigid construction and fully welded centre seals on all sides ensure excellent resistance to draughts and rain.

Highly insulated for large openings

A new Folding French Window with effective seals and excellent thermal insulation. Innovative technology gives you stylish design and good comfort. This door is ideal for homes, balconies, terraces and conservatories.

Sapa Folding French Window 1086

Unique to the market

Our folding French window has a uniquely smart design in which conventional hinges are replaced with neatly integrated hinged profiles. These run the full height of the frame and distribute the weight uniformly so there is no risk of warping. This innovative feature not only ensures stability but also prevents finger-trapping, provides unbroken seal lines and requires minimal adjustment and maintenance. The door opens and closes quietly and has a clean and uncluttered look, without any visible screws.

Smooth and convenient

The window opens by folding the window sashes together, forming a package, next to the window frame. Smooth and precise folding is ensured by an integrated guide rail in the top of the frame and a sturdy roller that runs in a stainless steel track. Hidden adjusters allow a precise fit at the top, bottom and sides, ensuring that the door runs smoothly and has a perfect finish. This provides enhanced thermal performance and a high level of security. Folding French Window for inwards and outwards opening is available with three sill options.

Windows and doors

Our windows and doors combine all the benefits of aluminium with excellent thermal insulation. The combination of stability, precision, reliable operation and minimal maintenance gives you products that last for many, many years.

Sapa Window 1086 SX and Sapa Door 2086 SX

Secure window 1086 SX

A modern door and window system with excellent thermal insulation. It also meets the highest standards of resistance to rain and draughts, and offers effective sound reduction. The window can be fixed or open inwards and is also available with concealed hinges. Very low U-values ensure the best comfort and low energy costs, down to 0.87 W/m2K. With burglar-resistant fittings and glass, 1086 and 1086 SX meet resistance class RC 2, for windows in dimensions up to 1250x1800 mm.

Our window 1086 PX reaches insulation values for Passive House level and is therefore suited for buildings with extremely high demands on energy efficiency.

1 Function

Make sure you prioritise the function of the room. The right choice of sliding door and fittings depends on how you want to use the room.

2 The opening

How large an opening do you want? Large sections of glass also imply heavy weight. Fixed window sections combined with sliding doors give a visual openness.

3 Location

Weather and wind should influence your choice. Areas close to the sea require strong materials and solutions. Effective seals, low U values and minimal maintenance save energy and time.

4 Comfort and performance

Rigid designs with good weather seals provide the foundation for a good acoustic climate and low energy consumption. The choice of handles and fittings is important for ease of use and security.

5 Glass

Our fabricators will help you to choose glass according to your expectations and applicable standards. There are several choices of glass to suit the required comfort level and energy requirements or to meet specific demand such as safety, security and protection.

6 Finish

Aluminium building systems require minimum maintenance. Choose between anodised or painted surfaces. You can choose different colours on the inside and outside. Read more about this on our website.

Make the right choice

See the whole picture. Which features are most important to you? Light and openness often add value to the whole house. User-friendly features are important for practical daily use.

A wide selection to suit all tastes

Key to table and summary of classifications

The U-value varies depending on the choice of glass and dimensions of the product. Low U-value = better insulation, allows less energy to escape. * Our calculations are based on glazing units with energy-saving glass: double-glazed Ug = 1.0 W/m2K and triple-glazed Ug = 0.60 W/m2K, for maximum dimensions of the entire product, unless specified otherwise. 1086 PX is based on triple-glazed specification Ug=0.50 W/m2K. Folding French Window 1086 is based on 3 pane version, Window 1086 SX and 1086 PX are based on standard dimensions of 1230 x 1480 mm; and Facade 4150 SX is based on dimensions of 5.0 x 5.0 m. Our window systems also include French doors.

Burglar-resistant versions have glazing, locks and fittings that meet the relevant class. It is important to decide on your performance needs at an early stage.

Variations can occur depending on the specification and fittings.

Advantages of aluminium

Our products have a long life and are often used in exposed environments and locations with harsh weather conditions. High-quality frames that are strong, stable and require minimal maintenance give your home simplicity and comfort that will last for generations.

Aluminium is a sustainable choice for building

Transparency and comfort

Generous glazing units and doors in glass and aluminium let valuable natural light flood into your home. Products that combine quality and high performance give you comfort and convenience.

Developed for the Nordic climate

Our products are developed to cope with the harsh Nordic climate and meet strict demands for energy efficiency and comfort. Doors, windows and glazing units are developed in close cooperation with architects and fabricators to ensure quality, performance, reliability, and design.High quality and precision make our products reliable and easy to use. Aluminium is strong and light, which means that profiles can be made slimmer than the corresponding timber or PVC frames. Aluminium is strong, durable and corrosion-resistant, and its natural properties mean minimal maintenance. This is why our products are often used in exposed environments and locations with harsh weather conditions. One of the largest selections of finishes in the Nordic market gives you a massive range of choice.

Why aluminium?

Products made from aluminium have a long life, which reduces environmental impact. 75% of all the aluminium ever produced since the 1880s is still in use today.

Aluminium is the third most abundant element in the Earth’s crust.

The use of aluminium contributes to sustainable building, since it permits structures that combine high energy performance, safety and comfort.

In principle, aluminium can be recycled endlessly and made into new products without any loss of quality. Only a few per cent is lost during the remelting process. Around 50% of Sapa’s total production is based on recycled aluminium.
