Instructor Dr. Andrew Setterstrom is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the NIU College of Business where he teaches ERP courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He is a certified TERP10 instructor and he has successfully taught the NIU SAP TERP10 summer workshops in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Registration Registration is open now at go.niu.edu/omis-sap. A nonrefundable deposit of $300 payable to NIU OM&IS Department is required in order to hold your seat for the SAP TERP10 Certification Workshop. The remaining balance of $895 is due Friday, May 4, 2018. If request for cancellation is received at least five business days before the class starts, a refund will be given. A 10 percent administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. If a student cancels the workshop less than five business days before the start date or is a “no-show” for the workshop, no refund will be given. Become an SAP Certified Business AssociatePurpose and Benefi tThe SAP TERP 10 Certifi cation workshop will enable students to see how a modern enterprise system functions. It covers business functions in accounting, fi nance, human resources, procurement, manufacturing, sales and distribution, warehouse management, enterprise asset management, and project management, as well as the basics of SAP ERP, NetWeaver, and SAP Business Warehouse.

After completing this workshop, students will: • Possess an enhanced understanding of

concepts and navigation in the SAP system.• Be able to explain how the fundamental

business processes interact with ERP in the areas of sales order management, material and production planning, procurement, inventory management, project management, plant maintenance, human capital management, fi nancial accounting, and management accounting.

• Be able to identify the key master data, which must be maintained to execute each business process.

• Be able to identify the key integration points between the di� erent business disciplines supporting each business process cycle.

• Be ready to take SAP TERP10 certifi cation exam upon completion of the workshop.

Schedule and CostDate:A 10-day workshop; May 14-25, 2018.

Time:9 a.m. to 5 p.m., meets daily Monday through Friday. One-hour lunch break at noon and students are responsible for their own lunch.

Location:Barsema Hall 300, College of Business, Northern Illinois University.

Workshop Price:$1,195 (cost covers professional instruction and training materials). The standard market price is $6,750. NIU is able to signifi cantly reduce the cost due to its membership in the SAP University Alliances Program. Limited number of SAP TERP10 Workshop scholarships are available.

Exam Fee: $290 to be paid directly to SAP during the fi rst four days of the workshop. Your instructor will help you with this during the fi rst day of the workshop.

Students in NIU’s summer 2017 SAP Certifi cation Workshop

NIU College of Business’ SAP University Alliance Programwill be o� ering an SAP certifi cation workshop to undergraduate, graduate students and NIU alumni in summer 2018.

The SAP Certifi cation is titled TERP10, Business Process Integration with SAP ERP (SAP ERP 6.0 EhP 7).

The workshop will provide an intensive training to prepare students to become an SAP Certifi ed Business Associate. As a student or recent NIU graduate, you may apply to enroll in it. The workshop is o� ered at a signifi cantly reduced fee due to Northern Illinois University’s membership in the SAP University Alliance.
