TERP10

What is it?

• An SAP Global Certification– Recognised around the World– Associate level, the first level in SAP consultancy

• Solution Architect ERP – Integration of Business Processes

Why do it?

• You want to work in ERP business systems– Consultant– Implementer– customer

• It is the first step in SAP Consultancy• Few applicants to consultancy companies will have

it before joining– Gives you an advantage

• Cost– Considerably cheaper than commercial cost

Examination

• 3 hour, computer-based test• Administered by SAP• Location– SAP UK training centre in London– WMG (acting as UK education testing centre)

• Exam Date– April 2010

Why not to do it

• It requires a lot of effort– More 100 hours of learning and revision– Heavily fact based– Requires broad knowledge of SAP components

• Cost– Budget £600 payable by credit/debit card in

advance. Non-refundable.• Pass Rate– Less than 50%

Management

Delivery – PART A

• Either– On-line course by Essen University starting in

November (PREFERRED)• Self-paced• Case-study • So far a good pass rate

• Or– 10 day sit-down course at WMG during April 2010• Limited to 23 students

Delivery – PART B

• WMG will deliver a workshop immediately prior to the April examination– Review the learning material

• Key learning points• Clarify understanding and interpretation

– Prepare for the examination• Hints and Tips• Exam technique

• Cost – t.b.a. depending on numbers, – budget £50 to £75

OTHER WMG CONTENT

• ERP Integration module (ERPI)– Contains much SAP ERP related material – Includes hands-on use of an SAP system– To be of use for TERP10 you need to be on the first

running • ERPI 09- - 01 w/c 22nd March 2010

Scholarship

• SAP are seeking ‘ambassadors’ for this course– exceptional candidates

• SAP University Alliance funding– Will pay course tuition fee (Essen €450)– Student will pay exam fee €150.

• Places– Between 5 and 10 – Depends on other UK university take-up

Application

• Write a justification statement containing:– What you understand of SAP’s ERP product and its

application– Why you want the certification– What you feel you bring to it, personally

• LIMIT: ½ page of A4 (font size 11)– Submit electronically as a pdf to • [email protected]• Subject: ‘applyTERP10’

Application for Scholarship

• In addition to the ½ page application• Write a ½ page justification for why you

should be considered:– Personal circumstances– Finance situation– Other factors you feel justify why you rather than

someone else should get this.• Both application parts should fit on a single

sheet of A4.

Notification

• Applications will be considered and successful candidates will be notified by November 14th

• Scholarships will notified as soon as possible after 14th November and before 1st December

• Decisions on applications and scholarships are final, there are no appeals.

Commencement

• Essen on-line course– Successful applicants will be provided with details

of how to subscribe to and pay for this by email– The contract will be between you and Essen

University.• Warwick University are not responsible for the delivery

or content of the Essen material
