University of Wisconsin Madison, WI Event Planner, The Wisconsin Union June 2016-Present Worked with clients, such as students, departments, and members of the Wisconsin Union, to plan and execute
over 500 events ranging from banquets, fairs, and weddings, to weekly student meetings and socials, in multiple facilities including Union South, the Memorial Union, Red Gym, and campus classrooms, by using EMS, R25, Meeting Matrix, and IPlan softwares
Helped to implement new catering menus into our EMS software for the first time in the organization’s recent history
Worked with Catering department to develop custom menus for more than 15 special events
Collaborated with Dining Services, Marketing, and Production teams as the lead event planner to fully execute an 8-week long Campus Farmer’s Market, with 8 local vendors and multiple campus organizations represented, for the university and Madison community
Learned the organizations policies and procedures for events, organizations, and finances for these events while working with coworkers to update and adapt these policies in preparation of the Memorial Union’s upcoming re-opening in the next year and a half
Served on a hiring committee for a new Wisconsin Union Directorate committee’s advisor position
Acted as event planner for the Wisconsin Union Directorate’s Cuisine, Global Connections, Alternative Breaks, and Hoofers committees and sub-committees, helping to plan weekly meetings, committee social events, and large university-wide events, amounting to more than 20 events per week

Worked with campus groups and the general public to rent out the HOC and helped coordinate event rentals from initial request through event completion.
