Greetings my brothers and fathers in the gospel!

As president of the Men Perfecting Men Conference, it is with great joy that I welcome you to the first ever, and historic eConference.

I give honor and respect to Bishop Charles E. Blake Sr., Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle, Church of God In Christ, Inc. for his insight, guidance, and stellar leadership as he navigates this great church through uncharted and uncertain times. I further acknowledge and honor, the General Board who are great men of God that lead with him at the helm of this church. To our General Supervisor of the Department of Women, Mother Barbara McCoo Lewis, who is leading, empowering, and inspiring our women across the nation, we love you and are praying that God will continue to strengthen you.

Several months ago, my staff and I began planning for what we thought would be our annual men’s conference. After much research, the decision was made to take the conference to Chicago, Illinois where we were extended the gracious hospitality of the Illinois Jurisdictional Bishops; General Board Member Sedgwick Daniels, General Board Member, Bishop Darrell L. Hines, Bishop Edward R. D. Goodwin Sr., Bishop Ocie Booker, Bishop Terry Sanders, Bishop James C. Austin, Bishop Clowdell Williams, Sr., Bishop Juan L. Morrison, Bishop Otis A. Eanes, Bishop Edwin Walker, Bishop Embra R. Patterson Jr., Bishop James E. Washington, Bishop Mark Blade, Bishop Benjamin Sanders, Bishop E. Bobby Warren, Bishop Donald Alford Sr., & Bishop Charles McClelland, I thank you.

As the entire world is witnessing, the coronavirus has derailed and redirected what we once envisioned as our normal way of living to what we are experiencing, labeling as our new norm. This has caused us to rethink and reinvent not only our ministries, but our family dynamics, the workplace, and how we as leaders gather or assemble our congregations.

So, as we “shift to a virtual space,” the Men Perfecting Men eConference endeavors to maintain the goal of providing spiritual engagement and offering a meaningful experience for all of our virtual delegates.

I solicit your prayers and invite you to join the 2020 MPM Conference, Wednesday, May 27th through Saturday, May 30th, as we make history together.

This year’s theme is “Phenomenal Women, Standing the Test of Time.” We have a myriad of activities on the program for you and an array of anointed God fearing First Ladies and inspirational speakers who will be at this conference specifically for you. I cannot wait for you to join us and remember to stay strong in the Lord as the scripture tells us in Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

As wife of Chairman Michael B. Golden Jr., I want to say welcome! I am elated and excited to meet you all. As you tune in to this year’s conference, come with expectancy. For I know that those who, “delight themselves in the Lord will receive the desires of their heart” as stated in Psalm 37:4. You are all phenomenal women who have stood the test of time and we know that it could not have been done without the Lord on your side, strengthening you so that you could endure even until the end. This conference will be yet another opportunity for you to be equipped and encouraged in the Lord so that you can return to your home church and tell of the goodness of the Lord.
