BLOOD DRIVE—Saint Matthew Catholic Church and Life South Community Blood Centers will sponsor a blood drive on Sunday, February 4th, from 9:30 to 2:00PM near the Our Lady of Victory School parking
lot. The Saint Matthew Knights of Columbus will have signups in the parish narthex before and after masses on 27th, and 28th. We thank you in advance for your participation.
WOMEN’S FAITH FORMATION—The Women’s Faith Formation group meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 7-8pm in the Parish Conference Room. This session we will be reading Perfectly Yourself by Matthew Kelly. We welcome all women of the Parish to join
us.
CONTINUING CONVERSION—The Continuing Conversion group meets every Sunday in the Parish Conference Room at 9:45am. For
the next 12 weeks, we will be doing a study on the Bible and the Blessed Virgin Mary from the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. Come and get a new appreciation and understanding for our Holy Mother and her love for us.
ALTAR SERVER TRAINING—There will be a training for any boy or girl who has already received First Communion and is interested in being an Altar Server on Wednesday, January 31 at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. For more information please contact Tom Sheehan at [email protected]

Tell me about the Eucharistic Ministers do?
Eucharistic Ministers distribute the precious Body and Blood of Jesus to help the priest and deacons during Masses.
How long have you been a member?
I have been a Eucharistic Minister for at least 10 years now.
What made you want to become a Eucharistic Minister?
I wanted to make a difference to the people in our par-ish and serve our Lord. And then a deacon asked me to serve.

What is the Stephen Ministry? Stephen Ministry is an organization that helps people when they need someone to talk to. Its mission is “Christ caring for people through people”. It was start-ed by the Lutheran Church in the 1970s and now it has grown to include all Christian denominations. Who does the ministry help? The ministry helps Christians and non-Christians alike. LIFETEEN NEWS
On Sunday, January 21, our Lifeteen group welcomed two guest speakers to their meeting. A representative from the Society of St. Vin-cent de Paul came to speak to them about the wonderful ways the teens can get in-volved with helping St. Vincent. From the conversa-tion arose two joint service projects involving col-lecting food, which have been set up for the spring. In preparation for this visit, the teens brought in non-perishable food items that were giv-en to St. Vincent for the local food pantry. The second speaker came from the Archdiocese of Atlanta to speak to the teens about Respect Life. Several of our Core Teens also participated in the March for Life in Washington, DC this past week-end.

El domingo 21 de enero, el grupo de Lifeteen reci-bió a dos presentadores. Un representante de la Sociedad de San Vicente de Paul vino a hablarles sobre las muchas maneras en que los jóvenes pue-den involucrarse en la Sociedad. De esta charla sa-lieron dos proyectos de servicio donde nuestros jóvenes ayudara a colectar alimentos para los nece-sitados durante la primavera. En preparación para estos eventos, nuestros jóvenes trajeron alimentos no perecederos para que San Vicente los llevara a nuestra institución de alimentos local. El segundo presentador vino desde la Arquidióce-sis de Atlanta para ha-blarle a nuestros jóvenes sobre el Respeto a la Vi-da. Varios de nuestros jóvenes del Equipo Prin-cipal también participa-ron en la Manifestación por la Vida en Washington, DC este pasado fin de semana. OPORTUNIDADES DE SERVICIOS COMUNITARIOS
