Savio News Annual Mission Appeal Annual Mission Appeal will be Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4. This year we are being asked to help Rostro de Cristo. This is a group founded in Chicago that prepares young adults from the United States to serve as volunteers for a year in needy areas of South America. We'll have more information in next week's bulletin. Camp Savio Donations: We are looking for donations to help our meal program for the campers: we are looking for:
• plastic sandwich bags • plastic forks (just forks) • jars of strawberry jelly • 8” or 9” Styrofoam plates • paper napkins
Return to our church building: Monday through Friday: Since last Monday, June 14th, the church has been opened for weekday Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Spanish and 12:00 noon in English. The church building will open at 9:45 a.m. and close after the noon Mass. We will continue to live-stream these two weekday Masses. Saturday and Sunday: We are planning Saturday and Sunday celebrations in our parish church on Saturday, July 17 and Sunday July 18. The schedule of Saturday evening and Sunday Masses will be the same as it currently is. We will continue to live-stream two Masses each Sunday: 10:00 a.m. in English and 1:00 p.m. in Spanish. Special Holy Hour: July 17, 2021 On Saturday evening, July 17th, we will celebrate a special Holy Hour to give thanks to God for his love and protection during the pandemic. We will begin at the end of the 7:00 p.m. Spanish Mass and conclude after one hour of prayer and adoration. Much of the music during the Holy Hour will be in Spanish, but all parishioners are invited to attend this hour of adoration. Special English Choir for Sunday, July 18th at 11:30 a.m. With the help of Alejandro Martinez, a volunteer from Colombia, we are forming a special choir to sing at our 11:30 a.m. English Mass on July 18th. All who love singing are invited to attend. Choir practices will be Monday and Tuesday beginning June 21st and June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the church.
Campaña Anual para la Misiones Campaña Anual para la Misiones: sábado y domingo, 3 y 4 de julio. Este año estamos invitados a apoyar el Rostro de Cristo. Es un programa de voluntariado que ofrece a los jóvenes adultos de los Estados Unidos la oportunidad de vivir una vida inmersa en los márgenes de Ecuador. Más información el próximo fin de semana. Regreso al edificio de nuestra iglesia: De lunes a viernes: Desde el pasado lunes 14 de junio, la iglesia ha estado abierta para la misa de lunes a viernes a las 10:00 a.m. en español y a las 12:00 del mediodía en inglés. El edificio de la iglesia abrirá a las 9:45 a.m. y cerrará después de la misa del mediodía. Continuaremos transmitiendo en vivo estas dos misas entre semana. Sábado y domingo: Estamos planeando las celebraciones del sábado y domingo en nuestra iglesia parroquial el sábado 17 de julio y el domingo 18 de julio. El horario de las misas del sábado por la noche y el domingo será el mismo que el actual. Continuaremos transmitiendo en vivo dos misas cada domingo: 10 a.m. en inglés y 1:00 p.m. en español. Hora Santa Especial: 17 de julio de 2021 El sábado 17 de julio por la noche, celebraremos una Hora Santa especial para agradecer a Dios por su amor y protección durante la pandemia. Comenzaremos al final de la misa en español de las 7:00 p.m. y concluiremos después de una hora de oración y adoración. Gran parte de la música durante la Hora Santa será en español, pero todos los feligreses están invitados a asistir a esta hora de adoración. Coro especial de inglés para el domingo 18 de julio a las 11:30 a.m. Con la ayuda de Alejandro Martínez, un voluntario de Colombia, estamos formando un coro especial para cantar en nuestra misa en inglés a las 11:30 a.m. el 18 de julio. Todos los que aman el canto están invitados a asistir. Las prácticas del coro serán los lunes y martes a partir del 21 de junio y el 22 de junio a las 7:00 p.m. en la iglesia.
