we have been called to give witness to the values of Jesus as

expressed in the Gospel and teachings of our Church.

AUGUST 15, 2021 SOLEMNITY OF THE

ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Brothers and sisters: Christ has

been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have

fallen asleep. For since death came through man, the

resurrection of the dead came also through man. For just as in

Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life, but each one

in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his

coming, those who belong to Christ; then comes the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his

God and Father, when he has destroyed every sovereignty

and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put

all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is

death, for “he subjected everything under his feet.”

Darren Modde is the new music director at St. Ambrose. No music experience needed, just a desire to use your voice to praise God. Weekly choir rehearsals start September 9 at 7:00. I am looking to add more voices to both the 9 AM and 11 AM

mass. If you are 15 or older we have room for you. If you play the flute, violin, guitar, or trumpet and willing to add your

talent to our music, please send Darren a note as well. Darren can be reached at 314-216-0105.
