SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER MAY 17, 2020
Dear Parishioners,
We are very excited that public Masses will resume on Monday, May 18th!
This past Tuesday, the Archdiocese of St. Louis issued guidelines to assist us as we transi on back to pub-lic worship. In light of these guidelines, here is important informa on about what will happen here at Holy Infant for you to know and share:
• We will resume with our normal Mass schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am & 8:00am, Saturday 8:00am, and Saturday 4:00pm & 5:30pm, Sunday 7:00am, 8:30am, 10:15am, & 12:00 noon. *This is subject to re-view/update.
• In order to prevent overcrowding, those who plan to a end Mass on Saturday evening or Sunday must sign-up. This is done in one of two ways: 1) Fill out the form under News and Announcements on holyinfantballwin.org 2) Call the parish office- 636-227-7440
• Space is limited, so if your preferred Mass me is full, please DO NOT show up for Mass at that me. There will not be a space for you or your family.
• Archbishop Carlson has extended indefinitely for all Catholics the suspension of the obliga on to a end Sunday Mass. With this dispensa on, it is not a sin to miss Sunday Mass. In par cular, if you are over the age of 65, at-risk/immunocompromised, care for someone who is at-risk/immunocompromised, or nervous/fearful at all, please do not feel compelled to come to Holy Mass. Rather, keep the Lord’s Day holy at home through extra prayer and/or “a ending” Mass via live-stream.
• If you are sick, have been exposed to someone who is sick, have been exposed to someone with Covid-19, or are manifes ng any symptoms associated with Covid-19, even if you are convinced that you are healthy or just have “allergies,” please do not come to Church. Not only could you risk infec ng oth-ers, but your presence will make others feel uncomfortable.
• Our live-streaming of Holy Mass will con nue daily at 8:00am and Sunday at 8:30am. *Please note the me change for the Sunday live-stream. The video stream will con nue to be broadcast on our Face-book page: www.facebook.com/holyinfantballwin
• All who a end Holy Mass should use common sense and keep safe spacing at all mes. Certain pews have been “taped-off” in order to assist with keeping this safe spacing. You are encouraged to wear masks and make use of hand sani zer. If you forget your own hand sani zer, we will have some extra available.
• For those who plan to a end Sunday Mass, we will have addi onal ministers of hospitality present to help seat and direct all parishioners.
• We will be regularly sani zing/disinfec ng the Church.
As further/updated informa on is made available, we will con nue to keep you informed via FlockNote, the parish Facebook page, the bulle n, and the parish website.
God’s Blessings to you and your families!

WE OFFER PRAYERS FOR OUR SICK
“Come to me all who are weary…and I will refresh you.” Mt 11:28
STEWARDSHIP
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL In the Gospel today, Jesus says to us: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments…Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father and I will love him and reveal myself to him. When we give to those in need, God indeed pours his love, peace and joy into our hearts, into our lives and through us into the hearts of those who are in need. As you donate to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, know that you are a sign of God’s love to those who are suffering and you give them Easter hope and joy. Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads lay women and men to spiritual growth by helping them offer person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. Our volunteers are united in an interna onal network of charity witnessing God’s love by embracing all works of charity, making no dis nc on in those served because, in them, Vincen ans see the face of Christ. If you are in need of help or know someone in need, please call (314) 289-6101, mailbox 2265. Leave a message and one of the volunteers will return your call. All requests are kept confiden al. If you would like to support the work of St. Vincent de Paul which will be even more significant as we progress through this pandemic, please make your check payable to St. Vincent de Paul Society and drop it in the collec on box in the ves bule or mail it to the parish office. Thank you for your support!
FAITH DIRECT Thank you to all who have recently joined Faith Direct and thank you for your continued support of our parish. During this time of social distancing, Holy Infant depends on online donations to continue our ministry. We prayerfully invite you to sign up for eGiving from your computer, smartphone or tablet and set up a recurring donation or make a one-time gift. Signing up is easy! Visit faith.direct/MO31 or call 1-866-507-8757. You can even text in a donation. To do so, start a new text on your cell phone and type (636) 202-2911 in the “To” box. Text the dollar amount of your gift to the number. You will receive a reply with a link. Tap on the link and enter your billing and contact information. A receipt will be sent to you. After this, you can give any time by texting a dollar amount to our phone number. Thanks again for your continued support of our parish family.

Holy Infant Parish School of Religion “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
Welcome to the 2020-2021 Parish School of Religion (PSR) school year at Holy Infant Parish. We look forward to working closely with you to help provide a Christ-filled school year for all the students of the parish who attend public school. Please know that as parents you are invaluable to this program. We recognize that you are the first teachers of your children and that no one knows them better or loves them more than you do. It is our goal, therefore, to work with you to support the faith formation of your child.
Our PSR program attempts to balance religious instruction with the experiences of Catholic community, service, and wor-ship throughout the year. It attempts to meet the needs and understanding of all children and families, recognizing that there are varying degrees of catechetical background, understanding, and experiences.
Our children want to know there’s a God out there who hears, understands, and loves them and they want to know that we as a Church listen, understand, and love them as well, and are eager to accompany them on their journey of faith. We strive to inform our children and families in the basics of the Catholic faith; assist parents in forming the children’s ongoing spir-itual development; and finally, be an instrument in transforming these children into Catholic Christian citizens with a strong faith on which to base their future spiritual growth, and to enable them to be evangelizers to the communities in which they will live. All this is accomplished by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
New for the 2020/2021 PSR School year online PSR Registration & Payment
We charge a fee in order to provide the best catechetical program for your children. We must stress that we want all children to be able to avail themselves of a religious education so tuition assistance or payment plans will be available to help families who may be struggling financially.

ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO THEM, O LORD. AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
"For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be God’s will, than for doing evil.” (1 Peter 3:17) The old line says “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Many of us are diligent in our planning and mak-ing sure things are progressing smoothly. Then disaster strikes, we don’t get the result that was intended or an unforeseen problem arises. Many times we may respond negatively and ask, “Why me? I did everything right!” Here’s the thing – adversity humbles us and re-minds us of our dependence on God and not on our own self-reliance. Rest assured, God has a better plan in store for you.

Faith. Works. Wonders. The Mission Continues!
As we enter our second month of staying at home, we know more and more of our pa-rishioners are feeling the impact of the pandemic financially and emotionally. There are daily reports of furloughs, lay-offs, business closures as well as the grim statistics of Covid related illnesses and deaths. We know that many of our families have been eco-nomically affected by the pandemic even if only temporarily. Our Faith. Works. Won-ders. program is here for you. We have established a fund for our families in need and we are working in conjunction with our St. Vincent de Paul group to help with financial hardships. If you need assistance with groceries, necessities, or bills, please contact Sandy in the Parish Office at (636) 227-7440 or [email protected]. All information is kept confidential. We are a parish family and called as one in the Body of Christ to love and care for our neighbors especially when they need it most. Many of you who are currently suffering economically are also those who would be the first to lend a hand or chip in to help your fellow parishioner—now it is time to let us help you.
Faith. Works. Wonders. is also here to provide emotional support during this time. Many of us are feeling isolated, anxious, fearful, and overwhelmed. You are not alone! We have volunteers who would love to spend time talking to you and have a cup of cof-fee—even if it’s over the phone. If you or someone you know, would like to hear from one of our volunteers, please contact Sandy in the Parish Office (636) 227-7440 or [email protected]
Let us continue to lift up each other in prayer!
Fr. Ed Stanger Pastor
