The light is on for you!
Each Tuesday during Lent we offer the
opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
We begin at 5:30 p.m. stop at 6:30 p.m. for the
Mass and then continue after the Mass. We hope you
will take this opportunity to celebrate this sacrament,
especially if you haven’t celebrated the sacrament in
a while. Remember the sacrament is a celebration of
God’s mercy and forgiveness. Please share this
information with family members and friends

Fasting and Abstinence Catholics 14 years of age and older are to abstain from meat on all the Fridays of Lent.
Fasting is to be observed by Catholics between the ages of 18 and 59. They should eat one full meal and 2 smaller meals to maintain strength according to one’s needs. They should not eat in between meals. These traditional practices are ways to both foster a healthy body and center our minds and hearts on God. Ayuno y Abstinencia

189 Maple Street Advanced care planning is not reserved for the sick or elderly. Rather it is important that family members begin the conversation with their loved ones. It is a necessary but at times difficult conversation. Mary Immaculate is sponsoring a bilingual presentation with Drs. Debra Turiano and Sandra Cardenas. They will share important information about the health care directive and how to begin the conversation with your family. There will be time to ask questions and receive free information packets on how to prepare a health care proxy and other useful documents This is a free presentation, open to the public. Thank you for your generous support of the 2019 Catholic
Appeal.
This past weekend 20 more parishioners offered donations and
pledges to the Appeal. This brings our total participation to 414
Parishioners. Given the many returns sent to the Appeal Office
it will take time to learn the total contribution from our parish.
How does your gift to the Appeal Serve our Parish and the
people of the Archdiocese?
Assistance with Buildings
During the past years, thanks to the generosity of a former
parishioner who included a donation to our parish in his estate,
we have been able to make major repairs to our church
buildings. These include heating systems for the church, house
and chapel, a new roof on the church, restoration of many of the
stained glass windows, repairs to the Haverhill Street walls of
the friary/office.
We have been guided in this work by personnel from the Real
Estate Office. They have worked with architects to advise us
with contracts and to plan and supervise the work.
The Appeal supports the Real Estate office which coordinates
this work for all the parishes of the archdiocese.
For those of you interested in making a pledge to this life-
changing work, please find a donation form available at the
entrances of the church or at the parish office. Thank you!

Este fin de semana pasado 20 feligreses ofrecieron donaciones y
promesas para la Colecta. Esto lleva nuestra participación total a
414 Feligreses. Dada la gran cantidad de sobres enviados a la
Oficina de la Campaña, tomará tiempo conocer la contribución
total de nuestra parroquia.
¿Cómo sirve su donación a la Campaña a nuestra Parroquia
y la Arquidiócesis?.
Asistencia con Edificios Durante estos últimos años, gracias a la generosidad de un antiguo feligrés que incluyó una donación a nuestra parroquia en su testamento, hemos podido hacer reparaciones importantes en los edificios de nuestra iglesia. Esto incluye el sistema de calefacción para la iglesia, la casa y la capilla, el nuevo techo de la iglesia, la restauración de muchas de las ventanas con vitrales, las reparaciones de los muros de la calle Haverhill en el convento de los frailes/oficina. Hemos sido guiados en este trabajo por personal de la Oficina de Bienes Raíces. Han trabajado con arquitectos para asesorarnos con contratos y para planificar y supervisar el trabajo. Easter Flowers: An envelope has been included in
this month’s mailing for Easter flowers. Those who
would like to make a donation or offer a Memorial
plant to decorate our sanctuary and church at Easter
and during the Easter season may place this
envelope in the collection basket during Lent. There will
not be a second collection for Easter Flowers.

the goal. Don't try to stop on the way, or to go back, or to
deviate from it.

Cemeteries and Mausoleum We celebrate a Mass for the intention of all those who are buried or entombed in our cemetery. This Mass is celebrated at the mausoleum in Our Lady of Good Counsel Chapel located on the cemetery grounds. The 2019 Mass Schedule is as follows:
Saturday, April 27th at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 27th at 10 a.m.
Saturday, November 2nd at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 14th at 1:30 p.m.

BAPTISM - (English) Registration begins with an
interview of the child’s parent. Parents must call office to make an appointment. Parent meeting as well as pre-baptismal class for parents and godparents is not optional. If Parent or Godparent(s) have baptized in the last 12 months from the date of intended baptism, proof must be provided (where and when class was taken); a letter or card from the parish. It is a Church requirement that at least one Godparent has the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is the expectation that Godparents are practicing Catholics.
BAUTISMO - (Español) El proceso de registración comienza con una cita de entrevista para los padres del bebe. Los padres deben llamar a la Oficina Parroquial. Help at Cemetery - Volunteers Needed
St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery, our parish
cemetery, is preparing for the annual
Memorial Day Mass. Memorial Day is
a day when many families come to visit
the graves of loved ones and celebrate
Mass. Help is needed to clean the
cemetery grounds after the winter. If
