THE LAST TIME OUT: Zander Wiel hit a three-run home run in the 4th inning and Zack Littell struck out a Triple-A career-high nine batters in 5.2 innings as the Rochester Red Wings snapped a seven-game losing streak against Lehigh Valley with a 4-1 win Friday night at Coca-Cola Park. Wiel also scored the game's first run on an RBI double from Adam Rosales in the 3rd. Matt Magill worked a scoreless inning in his second rehab appearance in as many nights for the Wings.

ROSTER MOVE: Minnesota plan to recall RHP Fernando Romero as the 26th man for today's doubleheader in Baltimore. Romero can be active for game two and would need to be returned to Rochester after the second game, barring a different Twins move.

HOMER HAPPY: Rochester has hit 23 home runs to produce 36 of the 66 total runs scored this season. The Red Wings hit just seven April homers last year, all coming on or before April 20. The 23rd Wings homer of 2018 did not come until the 42nd game on May 25 when the team hit numbers 21-24. Rochester is on pace to hit 214 home runs, which would shatter the franchise record. Only five teams in the history of the International League have hit 200 or more homers in a season: Baltimore in 1932 (232), 1930 (231), and 1935 (202), Pawtucket in 1996 (209), and Buffalo in 1998 (206).

LAST START: De Jong last started against Lehigh Valley on April 13. Rochester jumped out to a 5-1 lead but the IronPigs would ultimately score five runs, two earned, on six hits, two homers, a walk, a hit batter, and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings. De Jong's last batter he faced was Jan Hernandez in the 4th. Hernandez, who had homered in the 3rd, was hit a pitch and home plate umpire Rich Grassa immediately ejected De Jong. Wings manager Joel Skinner was also ejected after arguing the decision. The game finished 20-18 Lehigh Valley in 10 innings with 15 combined homers hit between the teams.

FIRST APPEARANCE: De Jong was on Rochester's Opening Day roster and was scheduled to start the second game of the season but his contract was purchased by Minnesota on April 6 prior to the Red Wings doubleheader at Lehigh Valley.
