TRIPLE-A ALL-STAR GAME IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY (JULY 10, 2010)The IL erased a 1-0 deficit with a 2-run 6th inning that featured a game-tying double by Syracuse's Chase Lambin -- who earned game MVP honors -- and a game-winning single by Durham's Elliot Johnson. Hometown hero Andy Tracy broke up the PCL no-hitter with a single in the 5th.

RIGHT-HANDED STARTING PITCHER

JAKE THOMPSON(2016)

11-5, 2.50 ERA in 21 GS

Thompson won the 2016 IL Pitcher of the Year by going 11-5 with a 2.50 ERA in 21 starts while recorded 87 strikeouts in 129.2 IP. He nearly broke both the team single-season wins record (12) and ERA mark (2.50) before his promotion on Aug. 6. For the season, his ERA led all of Triple-A and ties him for the franchise career-record with Brian Gordon (2010-11). The Dallas native was in a five-way-tie for most wins in the IL and finished with second in WHIP (1.10) behind teammate Ben Lively (0.93). He set a club record with a five-start winning streak from July 6-31 (5-0, 1.69).

LEFT-HANDED STARTING PITCHER

JA HAPP(2008, 2010)

8-8, 3.78 ERA in 29 G, 27 GS

The 2008 Paul Owens Award Winner started in the franchise’s first game on April 3, 2008, in a 4-0 loss to SWB. Happ rebounded to have a solid inaugural season -- going 8-7 with a 3.60 ERA in 24 G (23 GS). What made his season more impressive was that he posted an above .500 winning percentage (.533) for a team with the lowest (.403) in franchise history. In fact, LHV emerged victoriously in 12 of his final 17 appearances (70.6%) from May 9 on. He also racked up 151 SO, which ranked second in the IL and still stands as a franchise single-season record.

IRONPIGS 10TH ANNIVERSARY TEAMRIGHT-HANDED RELIEF PITCHER

SCOTT MATHIESON(2010-11)

5-8, 3.07 ERA, 32 SV in 84 G

Mathieson holds the single-season records for games pitched (54) and saves (26) in his two years with the IronPigs from 2010-11. The Vancouver, BC, Canada, native is also listed on the all-time career list in multiple categories: ERA (5th, 3.07), games pitched (7th, 84), saves (2nd, 31) and strikeouts (9th, 166). In 2010 with the IronPigs, Mathieson was named a Phillies organizational All-Star by MiLB.com and was named to a mid-season All-Star in the IL. He also garnered the Pitcher of the Month award in the Phillies organization in May of 2010 with a 1-0 record, a microscopic 0.64 ERA and five saves.

LEFT-HANDED RELIEF PITCHER

MIKE ZAGURSKI(2010-11)

6-3, 2.95 ERA, 14 SV, 20 HLD in 98 G

Zagurski’s best season with LHV came in 2011, when he went 4-0 with a 2.65 ERA in 54.1 IP over 46 games. The Omaha native also converted a team-high 11 of 12 save opportunities and notched nine holds. His 11 saves rank tied for eighth on the all-time single-season list and his nine holds sit fifth. For his efforts, Zagurski was named a 2011 IL midseason All-Star. He is also is ranked third on the single-season list for most games pitched in a season, when he appeared in 52 contests for the Pigs in 2010. He ranks among the best in multiple career statistics for Pigs pitchers: games (3rd, 98), saves (9th, 14) and holds (2nd, 20).

CATCHER

ERIK KRATZ(2011-13, 2015)

.284-26-99 in 169 G, 38 2BKratz, who represented the Pigs on the 2011 miseason IL All-Star Team, is the career leader in many offensive categories among catchers - including games (169), AVG (.284), HR (26), RBI (99) and BB (66) accomplished over parts of four seasons. In addition, the Telford, Pa., native appears in the Top-10 all-time in AVG (8th), HR (5th), RBI (10th) and BB (66). In his all-star season of 2011, he posted single-season catcher records for AVG (.288), HR (15) and RBI (53) while finishing 21st in the IL in AVG and third among catchers.

FIRST BASE

ANDY TRACY(2008-10)

.272-69-261 in 378 G, 207 BBTracy is the franchise career record-holder in HR (69), RBI (261) and BB (207) as compiled in 378 G during the first three seasons of IronPigs baseball. In fact, he has 30 HR and 99 RBI more than the second-place player on those lists (Overbeck). The 2009 and 2010 IL midseason All-Star is one of just two Pigs all-time to appear in multiple “midsummer’s classics” (Cervenak) and is the only one to appear in a Home Run Derby (2009-10). He is also the only Pigs position player to win an IL Player of the Month award (June 2010) and holds the most IL Player of the Week awards at three.

10TH ANNIVERSARY TEAM (2017)

LEHIGH VALLEY IRONPIGS 36 OFFICIAL HISTORY BOOK

IRONPIGS 10TH ANNIVERSARY TEAMSECOND BASE

CESAR HERNANDEZ(2012-14)

.286-2-50 in 174 G, 44 SBIn 2013, Hernandez became a force in Triple-A -- leading the in IL in triples (9), while ranking third in AVG (.309) and sixth in SB (32). For that effort, the Venezuela native was named to both the IL midseason and postseason All-Star teams - making him just one of four Pigs all-time to receive both accolades in a season. His .309 average is the second highest in single season in franchise history (Mike Cervenak ‘08, .311) and his .286 career mark ranks seventh. He also lists second in career triples (13) and third in stolen bases (44). In 2014, he tied the franchise record with an eight-game run scoring streak (Steve Susdorf ‘12).

SHORTSTOP

FREDDY GALVIS(2011, 2013-14)

.264-6-48 in 130 G, .987 FPCT

Galvis made a huge impact with Pigs from the moment he made his Triple-A debut as a 21-year-old in 2011. The Venezuela native joined the IronPigs in August in the midst of a playoff chase -- and hit .298 in 33 G while committed just three errors and making an array of highlight-reel plays. In 2013, Galvis committed just three errors and, at one point, sported a 40-G errorless streak (6/30-8/11). He finished the season with a .988 fielding PCT, which was best among all Triple-A shortstops with at least 27 G. He then committed one error in 35 G with LHV in 2014 to finish his IL career with a .987 fielding PCT (7 E in 546 total chances).

THIRD BASE

MAIKEL FRANCO(2014-15)

.278-20-102 in 166 G

Just 21 years old in 2014, Franco led the Pigs in home runs (16), RBI (78), doubles (33) and total bases (223) while finishing third in the IL in RBI and extra basehits (53) and fifth in TB. The Dominican continued his torrid finish in 2014 into 2015, when he hit .355-4-24 in 33 G before being recalled to Philadelphia for good on May 15. At that time, Franco was leading the IL in hits (50), 2B (12), TB (76), XBH (17) and RBI (24) while ranking second in average (.355) and slugging percentage (.539). He ranks ninth among franchise career leaders in both HR (20) and RBI (102).

LEFT FIELD

DARIN RUF(2013-16)

.280-28-127 in 208 G, 47 2B

Ruf put forth as good a stretch offensively as any Pigs in history in 2016. At the time he was promoted on Sept. 1, the Omaha native had just ended a career-high, 16-G hitting streak - during which time he posted a batting line of .397-5-15 (25-63). Despite playing in only 95 G in 2016, Ruf led the IL in slugging (.529) while finishing tied for fifth in HR (20), tied for 10th in RBI (65) and 11th in AVG (.294). In single-season lists, his 20 HR sit fifth and his .294 AVG is seventh. In all-time career ranks, the slugger places fourth in HR (28), fifth in RBI (127) and 10th in average (.280).

IRONPIGS 10TH ANNIVERSARY TEAMCENTER FIELD

RICH THOMPSON(2008-12)

.272-16-150 in 469 G, 134 SBThe all-time franchise leader in games played (469), Thompson also holds Lehigh Valley career records for hits (452), doubles (83), triples (26), runs (244) and stolen bases (134). In addition, the Reading, Pa., native also established single-season records -- and led the IL -- in both runs (81) and stolen bases (48) during the 2011 campaign in which the IronPigs made their only all-time appearance in the Governors Cup. In fact, his 48 stolen bases were most by a Phillies’ Triple-A player in 30 years and since Bob Dernier’s 72 swipes in 1981 with Oklahoma City. Amazingly, Thompson was only caught stealing 16 times in his five seasons.

RIGHT FIELD

DOMONIC BROWN(2010-12, 2015)

.281-15-90 in 181 G, 31 SBBrown arrived in Lehigh Valley on June 25, 2010, and hit safely in 24 of his first 28 G -- reaching safely in 26 G -- to begin his Pigs career. After a stint with the Phillies, he returned to LHV in May 2011 and picked up right where he left off. By Aug. 1, he extended his string to hitting safely in 38 of his first 42 career games in the IL -- and posted a franchise-record, 21-G hitting streak (.364-2-15) that survived an offseason and three promotions. The Stone Mountain, Ga., also appears on many of the franchise career leader boards, including fifth in stolen bases (31), ninth in walks (67) and 10th in AVG (.281).

UTILITY

KEVIN FRANSDEN(2011-12)

.302-5-73 in 176 GFrandsen was incredibly consistent, batting .303 in 2011 and .302 in 2012. The San Jose, Calif., native spent time at all four infield positions in each of his two years with LHV and currently ranks second all-time in career batting (.302) and 10th in hits (204). In 2011, Frandsen set a franchise record with seven straight multi-hit games and later provided the game-winning RBI in both Game 1 and Game 3 of the first-round playoff sweep over Pawtucket. In 2012, he was leading IL in doubles (34) and was tied for first in hits (118) at time of promotion on July 27.

MANAGER

RYNE SANDBERG(2011-12)

155-132 (.540)Sandberg, who led the Pigs to their first IL postseason appearance (2011) and to a 155-132 record over two seasons, has the highest career winning percentage (.540) among all-time LHV managers. In fact, his win on Opening Day 2011 marked the first time LHV had a record above .500 in then, their fourth season, as a Triple-A franchise. The Hall-of-Famer guided the team to a then-franchise record 80 wins and their only trip to the Governors Cup finals. Although missing the postseason in 2012, the team boasted a 75-68 record -- the Pigs’ third-best, single-season mark all-time.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs became the first minor league baseball team to have its entire 72-game home schedule televised live in 2008. For the tenth consecutive season, all IronPigs home games air on a four-station network created

with Service Electric Cable TV, Inc. In addition to the games airing on SECTV (TV2), the telecasts will also be carried live on Service Electric Cablevision, Blue Ridge Cable and WYLN 35. The network airs each home game to more than 900,000 households in Eastern PA and Western NJ.

WFMZ Channel 69 will join the IronPigs TV Network and televise all IronPigs home Saturday games in addition to other select games. The partnership will allow for the entire Lehigh Valley to receive IronPigs telecasts, as WFMZ is carried on all local cable stations and satellite providers and can be picked up by antenna. WFMZ enters approximately three million households.

All games on the IronPigs TV Network powered by Service Electric feature a 35-minute pre-game show and a post-game show.
