To earn a CRC, an individual completes the ACT WorkKeys Assessments in Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information. R-CCCC can help you reach your business goals with customized training, seminars, and/or workshops on the college’s campus or at your organization’s location that range from computer skills, customer service training, First Aid/CPR training, OSHA 10 and programing logic. The College has a full array of services to meet the needs of both new and existing employers by providing high quality education and training in a multitude of fields, including, but not limited to: Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Allied Health Computers Education

Electrical Industrial Systems Law Enforcement/Fire/Rescue/EMS/EMT Welding

Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration (HVAC): Instructors are certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) with many years of field experience. These individuals bring relevant and current instruction to the classroom. Students receive training in ductwork, are able to troubleshoot, provide preventive maintenance, and make repairs to all types of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems. All students receive CFC/EPA 608 certification. Allied Health: The mission of the Allied Health department is to provide and engage students with challenging classes, lab and clinical opportunities in health care with community partnerships and through the use of cutting edge instructional practices. The College offers flexible schedules to meet the needs of your employees. Courses may be taught online or in a classroom in one of our labs or at a lab at your organization. R-CCC is an official Ceritport testing site, allowing us to proctor Microsoft Office Specialist Certification and Adobe Certified Associate exams. Course offerings include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. Education: R-CCC offers many courses designed to meet Continuing Education Requirements for renewal certification for NC Early Education Certification program and an Effective Teacher Training course designed to prepare substitute teachers, teacher assistants, and prospective new teachers.

Industrials Systems Technology: Coursework is designed to prepare individuals to safely service, maintain, repair, and install equipment. Instruction includes theory and skill training needed for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing industrial systems. Students are learning skills in blue print reading, mechanical systems maintenance, electricity, hydraulics/pneumatics, welding, machining or fabrication, and include various diagnostic and repair procedures. Students receive training with programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers. Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, EMT: Interested in having your employees ready to respond during an emergency? The College offers a variety of classes for Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Services. Programs are aligned with North Carolina state requirements for the EMS and Fire/Rescue departments and prepare graduates to successfully sit for state certification. Graduates are highly sought after by many local employers and are recruited as far away as Mississippi. Upon completion of course work, all welders are ready to take the AWS certification exam.

Industry Training Designed With Your Business in Mind!

Electrical: The Electrical Contractor License Renewal Preparation course is designed to provide electrical contractors with updated information on the latest changes in the National Electric Code, and meet their requirements for continuing education. Industrials Systems Technology: Coursework is designed to prepare individuals to safely service, maintain, repair, and install equipment. Instruction includes theory and skill training needed for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing industrial systems. Students are learning skills in blue print reading, mechanical systems maintenance, electricity, hydraulics/pneumatics, welding, machining or fabrication, and include various diagnostic and repair procedures. Students receive training with programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers. Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, EMT: Interested in having your employees ready to respond during an emergency? The College offers a variety of classes for Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Services. Programs are aligned with North Carolina state requirements for the EMS and Fire/Rescue departments and prepare graduates to successfully sit for state certification. Students who complete these training courses will become employees that are safety conscious and will know how to positively respond if any safety issues were to occur at your organization. The most requested courses are outlined below, however additional training is available. Emergency Medical Technician Basic

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Techniques (CPR) Portable Extinguishers - Level I Hazardous Materials Awareness and Terrorism - Level I NIMS: ICS-100 & ICS-700

Welding: R-CCC offers an array of welding courses that meet the needs of the beginner, as well as the advanced welder. The College holds the distinction of being an American Welding Society SENSE training organization (Schools Excelling through National Skills Standard Education). All the college’s instructors are AWS certified. Classes include both Plate and Pipe welding and may be offered as an intense short term class to help job seekers re-enter the workforce. Graduates are highly sought after by many local employers and are recruited as far away as Mississippi. Upon completion of course work, all welders are ready to take the AWS certification exam.

Workplace Literacy/Basic Skills

For local industries and businesses, the college can provide on-site instruction for employees who need to upgrade their skills in reading, math, communication, and other work-related abilities. This customized training may include Adult Basic Education, GED, English as a Second Language, and other basic job performance skills, depending on the organization’s specific needs. Through the Basic Skills program, R-CCC can customize classes to improve the workplace literacy of your employees. Classes can be held at your organization’s location or employees can attend classes at one of our various locations throughout the Roanoke-Chowan area.
