The Master HP series from 100 to 600 kVA
is the Riello UPS solution for installations
requiring high energ ecienc and
maximum power availability.
Master HP Series provides maximum
protection and power qualit for data
centres and industrial loads. The UPS has
an IGBT-based rectier, DSP (Digital Signal
Processors) technolog and provides true
On-line, double conversion powerprotection, (VFI SS 11 - Voltage and
Frequenc Independent in accordance with
IEC EN 62040-3).

Power continuityFor ears, Riello UPS has developed and
supplied solutions for dealing with the

Riello UPS oers exible, high-availabilit
solutions that are able to adapt to dierent
sstem structures and critical levels. Riello
UPS creates UPS sstems that can tolerate a
number of component or subsstem failures,
while continuing to operate normall,
providing power without interruption. This
is achieved b careful design, installing
redundant elements, eliminating commonfailure points, scheduling maintenance
activities and controlling and supervising
the sstem operating parameters and
environment. The TEC service team is read
to provide guidance and advice on projects.
Complete galvanic isolationMaster HP UPS feature an output isolation
transformer (on the inverter), inside the
UPS cabinet, providing galvanic isolation of
the load towards the batter and improved
versatilit in sstem conguration, allowing:• Complete galvanic isolation for medical
applications and critical infrastructures
• two trul separate network inputs (main
and emergenc), coming from two
dierent power sources (with dierent
neutrals); this is particularl well suited
to parallel sstems in order to ensure
selectivit between the t wo sources, thus
improving the reliability of the entire
installation;
• Installation in networks without neutral.
Housing the transformer inside the cabinet
allows for a signicant reduction in the
footprint, providing space savings.
Zero impact sourceThe Master HP series features the added
advantages of the Zero Impact Source
formula oered b an IGBT-based rectier
assembly. This eliminates problems
connected with installation in networks
with limited power capacit, where the UPS
is supplied b a generator set or anwhere
there are compatibilit problems with loads
that generate current harmonics. Master HPseries UPS have zero impact on the power
suppl source, whether it is a mains grid or
generator set:
• input current distortion < 3%
• input power factor 0.99
• power walk-in function that ensures
progressive rectier start up
• start-up dela function, to restart the
rectiers when mains power is restored if
there are several UPS in the system.
This provides savings in installation costs
via:
• a smaller electrical infrastructure.
• smaller circuit protection devices
• less wiring.
Master HP also performs the role of a lter
and power factor corrector, protecting the
upstream power suppl from an harmonics
and reactive power generated b the
consumers.
FlexibilityMaster HP is suitable for a wide range of
applications including IT and the most
demanding industrial environmentsand processes. With several operational
congurations including On-Line, Eco,
Smart Active, Stand B, Frequenc
Converter and Voltage Stabiliser. A broad
range of accessories and options, complex
congurations and sstem architectures can
be achieved to guarantee maximum power
availabilit and the option to add new UPS
without interruption to existing users.
Using the Riello UPS Group Snchroniser
(UGS) and Parallel Sstems Joiner (PSJ),
sophisticated inter group parallel andredundant sstems can be achieved to
provide the highest possible levels of
resilience and availabilit.

Battery care system: maximumbattery care
The Master HP range uses the sophisticated
Batter Care Sstem, also available on the
Master MPS models, which optimises batter
performance in order to extend the batter
life for as long as possible.

Master HP 250 kVA
• Reduced weight
• Double load protection, both electronic
and galvanic, towards the batter.
The entire Master HP range is suitable for
use in a wide range of applications. Thanks
to the exibilit of conguration, available
options and accessories, it is suitable for
suppling an tpe of load, e.g. capacitive
loads such as blade servers etc.
Power suppl reliabilit and availabilit
are ensured for critical applications
b distributed or centralised parallel
congurations of up to 8 units, for redundant(N+1) or power parallel congurations and
all the dierent congurations oered b
the Master MPS range.
Smart Grid ReadyBeing smart grid read, Master HP allows for
the implementation of power accumulation
solutions, and at the same time ensures
extremel high levels of ecienc. It is
also able to independentl select the
most ecient operating method based on
the status of the grid. Master HP UPS arealso able to electronicall interface with
the energ manager using the smart gr id
communication network.
