Worked with owners to purchase and install process equipment included powder fill lines, de-pyrogenation sterilizers, unpackaging lines from the pharmaceutical side to wet process hoods, gas cabinets, VMBs and VMPs from the microelectronics side. • Norfolk State University – Norfolk, VA

Design/Build and Construction Manager for a 6,000 sq. ft. Class 100 R&D Nanotech Facility ($2,800,000) including mechanical services, cleanroom envelope, process systems, exhaust systems, structural engineering and EMI and Vibration Isolation Systems. • US Navy Naval Research Laboratory - Washington, DC Design/Build and Construction Manager for 2,000 sq. ft. Class 100 R&D Nanotech Facility ($1,700,000) for Sensor Research, including mechanical services, cleanroom envelope, process systems, exhaust systems, structural engineering and EMI and Vibration Isolation Systems. Process systems include DI water system, process gases, chilled water system, acid exhaust, and solvent exhaust.

• Merck & Company- Primaxin Facility - Elkton, VA Grade A, B, & C Space Facility Infrastructure Design/Design/Build and Construction Manager for a 4,000 sq. ft. Aseptic Fill Suite for Manufacturing, including modular cleanroom suite and installation of the recirculation fan support deck, and equipment (RAB) facilitation including securing of all permits. Process systems include WFI water system, 20% Relative Humidity Control, chilled water system, exhaust systems, and architectural finishes.

• Merck & Company- Component Preparation Room - Elkton, VA Grade C Space Facility Retrofit Design/Design/Build and Construction Manager for a 1,000 sq. ft. Grade “C” Manufacturing modular cleanroom suite ($1,000,000) and modification of the HVAC supply system. Process systems include chilled water system, exhaust systems, and architectural finishes including flooring.

Lockwood Greene Engineers – Spartanburg, S.C. 1978- 2004

Project/Construction Manager Advanced Technology Group As the lead HVAC engineer was responsible for the design and construction support of cleanrooms controlled to ISO Class 1. Progressed to the position of project engineer responsible for the technical coordination of multiple specialized engineering disciplines. As a project/construction manager was responsible for managing projects up to $200,000,000 in constructed value. Selected to solicit and manage within the Advanced Technology Group, the design and construction of both large and small advanced technology projects. Primary focus was on identifying and securing projects, generating design and construction proposal including scope of services and pricing, scheduling, staffing, project execution, change management, budget control and client relations. • RF Micro Devices Fab 2– Greensboro, NC

Project manager for planning, design, tool hook-up design and construction support services for the conversion of 136,000 sq. ft. of distribution warehouse into an EPI semiconductor wafer fabrication facility utilizing

• RF Micro Devices Fab 3 – Greensboro, NC Project manager for planning, design, tool hook-up design and construction support services for a 223,517 sq. ft. greenfield semiconductor wafer fabrication facility utilizing Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) process technology and 150mm and 100mm wafers. Phases I and II included 30,187 sq. ft. (2,805 m2) of Class 10, Class 1,000 and Class 100,000 cleanrooms.

• Motorola, GDL – Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico Project Manager for the design effort. The project involved relocation of a product line in Phoenix and the renovation and installation into existing 30,000 SF area in Mexico. The completed spaces included Class 100 areas for the production of Rectifier devices using 6-inch wafers.

• Matsushita Semiconductor Corporation of America – Puyallup, WA Project manager for the process tool hookup phase of a new 100,000 sq. ft., 200mm semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. The project included the design and construction phase services for over 300 new tools.

• Motorola MOS 15 – Research Triangle Park, NC Project manager for a multi-task order on-site A/E services contract involving a wide range of activities from programming, planning and budgeting to detailed design and construction management One of these tasks was a fast-track expansion of Class 1 photolithography areas, etch areas, diffusion areas, chiller expansion, process gas, and DI water distribution systems expansions.

• National Semiconductor – South Portland, ME Project manager for a 52,000 SF addition involving a 3-level FAB expansion containing 17,000 SF of Class 1 Cleanroom area and HPM (liquid and gas) storage and distribution systems including process equipment tool hookup design.

• DOE Projects – Multiple Sites Project Engineer and lead HVAC on multiple projects at DOE sites including Y12 in Oak Ridge, TN and Savannah River Site in Augusta, GA. Project included working with DOE to upgrade site HVAC, electrical systems, security and fire suppression systems in manufacturing and laboratory spaces.
