Revision and Exam techniques

Techniques that help

Revision

• Little and often

• Know what to revise

• Have a plan

• Test yourself

• Prepare for the day

Ways to revise

• Flash cards

• Mind maps

• A4 summary pages of a topic

• Past papers

• Create you own questions

• VLE revision

• Take note of areas you need to develop

Exam Technique

• Always arrive early

• Always have a black pen and calculator

• Have flash cards or a last look at the notes

But don't panic

• Read all questions

• Highlight any key words in the question

• Show all calculations and working

• Do easy questions first

• Work to allow yourself time to check your work at the end of the exam
