The economic environment has been ever changing in the past few years. In fact, it is in a dierent place, not only from 5 years ago, but a year ago. Yet, the Job Search process is still under the recession-era mindset. We have entered a candidate’s market and the hiring process needs to adapt and change itself to satisfy both the candidate and the recruiter. The challenge is guring out what needs to be changed to improve the process for a better overall experience.

76% want to know: “What would my day-to-day

job be?”

57% ask:“Which skill sets are

employerswilling/not willing to

negotiate on?”50% of candidates wonder:

“Are they looking for someone like me?”

• 81% want to know contact info of the person who posted the job.

• 72% want to talk to the recruiter or hiring manager, before applying.

• 74% want to see salary info.

A shorter application process will yield a better result when combined with proactively reaching out to candidates who t the company’s qualicationrequirements.

• It takes between 26 to 34 days to ll an open position.

• 52% of employers say they wait for candidates to apply.

• Only 20% of job seekers say they were recruited rst.

Job seekers and employers often do extensive research on one another before the application, but at times communication ends here.

• 4 out of 10 applications never receive a response or any type of communication.

• On average candidates use 16 total resources in their job search. Whereas recruiters use 15 resources to nd the right candidate.
