Our Feature Job for this issue is the Memorial
Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital
in Savannah, GA. Vannoy Construction Company,
Inc. served as the General Contractor and Perkins
& Will provided the architectural services. Vannoy’s
management team consisted of Buddy McKeen
and Hansen French – Project Managers and Rusty
Bratcher – Project Superintendent. Ace’s project
team consisted of Chris Hinson – Project Manager,
Dennis Hales and Brian Hamilton – Project Superin-
tendents and Zach Deal – Estimator. Other Ace
employees that worked on the job were Chuck
Carter, Leye Carter, Trevor Cobb, Adam Grooms,
Penny Harris, Caleb Hart, Reggie Haywood, Michael
Madison, Bubba Moore, Josh Pevey, Nick Pugliano,
Matt Purvis, Brian Ridgle, Tyler Scarboro, Jonathon
Taylor, Gaston Vance, Brody Vickers along with
multiple others. Also deserving recognition for the
success of the project are FD&E’s Glenda Berard
(BIM) and Larry Breeden (XY).
The 20 month project consisted of extensive
renovations and expansions of existing hospital
facilities. The project scope of work required entirely
new plumbing, medical gas, mechanical and
electrical infrastructure as well as site modifications
to include relocations of utilities, sidewalks, drives
and pedestrian walkways. The renovated and
expanded spaces now feature a pediatric
emergency department, radiology, MRI, PACU/
recovery, four operating rooms, pre-op, central
sterile services, pediatric patient rooms and PICU
rooms and laboratory and pharmacy services.
We would like to thank Vannoy Construction
Company for the relationship and opportunity and
congratulate Memorial Health on their new hospital
facilities.
