We’re waiting for the contractors to give us the go ahead Please remember if you can not make the walk through on those dates. You will not be allowed to just show up and walk through. These must be planned though the committee chairman to keep everyone safe. As we all know its a construction site and there are a lot of tools around and we must protect you and the workers. Please call myself if you need help ER Trent 667-231-6978. I will be more then happy to work something out for you.

The progress is moving along nicely and things are right on track . As it stands now we hope to be in the new place for our New Years eve party, if not sooner. We will update monthly as to where we stand with progress. A big thank you to our building committee chairman Dave Lozeau and his committee for doing an outstanding job in keeping the progress on track.

NEW LODGE INFORMATION

Building Committee Report — September 12, 2016

The Murphy Drive building project continues to make progress and remain on schedule and on budget.

The committee held a sneak peek open house on Saturday September 10. Approximately 30 members stopped by. Questions and concerns were addressed by building committee members. Members have been asked not to visit site without prior permission and approval due to a host of issues including safety and work slowdown. On Friday 9/9 alone three members walked in and felt comfortable walking around even after the site supervisor questioned their doing so. This is a problem on so many levels and any member wishing to do so must receive prior approval. Any member of the building committee can make those arraignments with the necessary persons and will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

We anticipate the next open house for members to be within the next 3 to 4 weeks.

Flooring and storage space continue to be a challenge. The conditions of the existing flooring through-out is being evaluated. Currently we believe we can avoid a complete replacement. We have budgeted for a worst case scenario. As for storage, we are attempting to put additional shelving behind the bar along with the same in the bar storage room.

The committee would remind the members that the consolidation into a smaller space will require some hard choices. Plans for the auction will be developed over the next several months for a 2017 auction.

Respectfully submitted on behalf of the committee

David Lozeau
