2-2 Progress of the LCMT Phase 4 Project (2) - Feasibility Study -

The Feasibility Study will recommend that San Borja consider implementing additional Low-Carbon Measures (LCMs) as complementary to the municipality existing LCMs.

These Measures will help San Borja to reduce its GHG emissions by an additional 12% by 2021 compared to its 2012 baseline, for a total emissions reduction of 28%.

3-1 Invitation to the APEC LCMT Phase 5 Project

10 September, 2014An invitation letter for nominations of the LCMT Phase 5 Project was sent to eligible economies

30 September, 2014 (Nomination Deadline)

Two candidate projects were nominated;

Bitung City, Indonesia

Fuyang City, China

Evaluation on a scale of 1-5 for each selection criteria endorsed by APEC LCMT Task Force

3-2 Evaluation Results

15 - 20 October, 2014METI, Japan (Project Overseer) sent draft recommendation to LCMT Task Force members

and it was endorsed;

Bitung City, Indonesia, to be the case for the APEC LCMT phase 5 Project

Fuyang City, Chaina , should hold candidacy status for the subsequent phase of the

LCMT Project.

21 - 27 October, 2014

METI sent out the recommendation to EWG members and it was endorsed.
