Dear Southview Preschool Families,
Ahhh! Fall!!! The cooler weather, changing leaves, and for my family, football, are wonderful highlights in
this season we love so much. I hope your family enjoyed a wonderful Fall Break and were able to spend the
extra time building family memories.
Getting back to school this week has been wonderful. I hope you are noticing some big changes happening
on our west end playground. We were finally able to hire a contractor to start the new outdoor studio, and
the students will be able to play on it next week. This is the first of several phases to get the studio to meet
our expectations. It will take a lot more money, time and energy, but we are up for the challenge.
Thank you for your support with our Fall Fundraiser! We exceeded last year’s sales by $1,200. That’s really
awesome! We will continue fundraising efforts to add to the great outdoor space for our students and
families.

These are parent/teacher conference days. Look for information
from your child’s teacher to schedule a conference.

School Closings and Delays Weather conditions and other factors sometimes cause schools to be closed, start at a delayed time, or dismiss early. Starting by 6am listen to local television or radio stations. ACS will notify everyone through automated phone calls should there be a delay or closing. PLEASE make sure we have your correct number on file. If there is a 2 hour delay there will be NO AM Preschool classes that day.

retake and any new students can have
a picture on this day. Send a letter to
your child’s teacher so we know you
would like this to happen.
Easiest Fundraiser EVER…Kroger Community Rewards
Register online at krogercommunityrewards.com (or go to https://www.pay-less.com) Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with your organization after you sign
up. If a member does not yet have a Kroger Plus card, please let them know that they are available at the
customer service desk at any Kroger. Click on Sign In/Register Most participants are new online customers, so they must click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New
Customer?’ box. Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email
address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email. Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step. Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number. Update or confirm your information. Enter NPO number 10419 or name of organization, select organization from list and click on confirm. To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see your organization’s name on the right side of your
information page. REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your group until after your member(s) register their card(s). Do you use your phone number at the register? Call 800-576-4377, select option 4 to get
your Kroger Plus card number.
Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their
registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
Ordering and Paying After Picture Day
1. Find your Portait ID and Access Code, which is unique to each student, on your proofs or order sheet.
2. Go to the website listed next to the Portrait ID and Access Code to order. It will be one of these two websites:
o MyLifetouch.com o Photogifts.Lifetouch.com
For up to 9 months after your Picture Day you can use your Portrait ID and Access Code for a first-time order or to reorder additional portraits and portrait gifts.

Parking Lot Safety (share with anyone picking up your child)
Park in designated areas only when picking up your child
Do not park along the Fire Lane or in Handicap Parking Spots
Always yield to buses
Avoid walking between buses
Students should always hold the hand of an adult when leaving the sidewalk
Exit the parking lot cautiously to avoid accidents
Stop completely at the Stop Sign before leaving our parking lot
Attendance Matters…
The number one factor contributing to
student success is attendance! Your child
cannot learn if she is not in school. Students
should be in school every day unless they
have been sick. Call us when this happens.
Students must not have vomited, had
diarrhea, or a fever for 24 hours before
being allowed to return to Southview.
Immunizations and Shot Records…
If you received a note from the nurse about your child’s shot
record, it is important to have your child’s immunizations current.
If you do not provide proof of immunizations, your child will not
be allowed to attend school after November 18th. This is in
accordance with Indiana Code 20-8.1-7-9-5.

How to Log In
Access runs through December 31st, 2016
1. Go to https://www.myon.com/school/hoosier/
2. Enter the School Name: Hoosier Family of Readers (The School Name will automatically populate as you type)
3. Enter the username read and password read.
4. Click the green Sign In button.
Begin Reading! Click on All Books to browse through the entire myON Library and enjoy reading with your child
this summer!
Note: Hoosier Family of Readers provides partial access to myON’s digital library through a single shared sign on.

Halloween Fun at Southview:
Students are allowed to wear a costume (no bloody,
scary things or guns/swords).
Make sure your child wears clothes underneath so
the costume can be removed if needed.
Make sure your child can easily remove the
costume if he chooses.
Remember, students are only little once. Take
pictures and enjoy the memories!
Keep the candy and treats at home please.
Late Pick Up Policy:
If you are late to pick up your child, a one dollar per minute fee will be
charged. Southview does not have babysitting/daycare available to
families, and staff need to receive lunches and breaks. It is YOUR
responsibility to be ON TIME. An invoice with charges will be sent to your
family for late pick up fees.
