Ensure diversity of experience, perspective, supply chain, culture, gender is involved from the start.

Especially involve end-users (those most likely to be highly impacted).

Do not “cross that bridge when you get to it”, because you might be heading in the wrong direction!

Common mistakes: Lack of a social license because science/societal issues not included; Established infrastructure or systems mean change will be very slow; Policy or regulation issues put off or not considered at all; Impact of competition significantly underestimated; True “pinch points” not identified.
