End Of Silence (2006) 02. Breathe Into Me And this is how it feels when I ignore the words you spoke to me And this is where I lose myself when I keep running away from you And this is who I am when, when I don't know myself anymore And this is what I choose when it's all left up to me Breathe your life into me I can feel you I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me I still need you I'm falling, falling Breathe into me Breathe into me And this is how it looks when I am standing on the edge And this is how I break apart when I finally hit the ground And this is how it hurts when I pretend I don't feel any pain And this is how I disappear when I throw myself away Breathe your life into me I can feel you I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me I still need you I'm falling, falling Breathe into me Breathe your life into me I can feel you I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me I still need you I'm falling, falling Breathe into me Breathe your life into me!

03. Let Go

Hey you, look what you do to me You bend and you bruise meWhile you try to control meBut you don't own me How come you just wanna hurt me?How come you just wanna push me?I can't ignore you anymore Cause everywhere I turn youYou burn me, you break me You always want to take me down with youWhat do you want from me

I don't wanna be afraidI don't wanna run away I don't wanna be here fadingIt's more that I can take I'm never gonna be the same I threw it all awayI don't wanna be here fadingJust let go (look what you do to me) Let go (look what you do to me)

Hey you, look what you do to me You burnt and you scar meWith all that you tell meBut I'm not listeningYou love meYou hate me You always want to take meDown with you What do you want from me (I won't stay)

I don't wanna be afraidI don't wanna run away I don't wanna be here fadingIt's more that I can take I'm never gonna be the same I threw it all awayI don't wanna be here fadingJust let

You keep pushing meYou keep using me

Page 3: Red Lyrics

You keep twisting meYou keep breaking meYou can't have me anymoreYou can't have me anymoreYou can't have me anymoreYou can't have meLet go

I don't wanna be afraidI don't wanna run away I don't want to be here fadingIt's more that I can take

written by Jasen Rauch, Rob Graves, and Jason McArthur

Behind the Song:'“Let Go” is about conquering the temptations – even addictions – that often control and eat away at us. It’s about finding courage to face our weaknesses head on, not just sitting back and doing nothing while our lives fade away. It's about finally breaking the pattern of sin we often fall back into. (Romans 6:12-14)' – Red

04. Already Over

You never goYour always here (suffocating me)Under my skinI cannot run away Fading slowly

I'd give it all to you Letting go of meReaching as I fall I know it's already over nowNothing left to loseLoving you againI know it's already over, already over now

My best defense, running from youI can't resist, take all you want from meBreaking slowly

I'd give it all to you Letting go of me Reaching as I fallI know it's already over nowNothing left to loseLoving you againI know it's already over, already over now

You're all I'm reaching for It's already over All I'm reaching forIt's already over now

I'd give it all to you I offer up my soulIt's already over, already over now

Behind the Song:"This song has a dual meaning – intentionally – which is why there are two parts to it. It's about both sides of temptation. On the one hand, it’s about how weak we can be as human beings giving into temptations. Often when the first ounce of temptation comes our way, it’s “already over” – we’ve already decided to give in. At its worst, it’s an addiction controlling us, “suffocating” us, to which we tragically “offer up our souls.” On the other hand, this song is about the moment we finally allow Jesus’ power to overcome our temptations – when we trade the allure of sin for God’s righteousness. The moment we finally offer up our souls to Jesus, it’s “already over”, the darkness fades, our sins are washed away, and we can rest in His peace (as emphasized in Pt. 2). (1 Cor. 10:13)" – Red

05. Lost

Can I be dreaming once again? I'm reaching helpless I descend You're leading deeper through this maze I'm not afraid

I'm lost in you everywhere I run Everywhere I turn I'm finding something newI'm lost in you something I can't fight I cannot escape I can spend my life lost in youLost in you

Your whispers fill these empty halls I'm searching for you as you call I'm bracing, chasing after you I need you more

I'm lost in you everywhere I run Everywhere I turn I'm finding something newI'm lost in you something I can't fight I cannot escape I can spend my life lost in you

I could never be the same hereSomething that I could never arise I could never look away I lost myself in youIt's all over now

Lost in youEverywhere I runLost in youEverywhere I runLost in youLost in you

written by Jasen Rauch, Rob Graves, and Chad Cates

Behind the Song:"This song ultimately is a love song to God. God’s love is so rich, so mysterious, yet so deep that it envelops us to the point where we get lost in Him. (Romans 8:38-39)" – Red

06. Pieces

I'm here againA thousand miles away from you A broken mess, just scattered pieces of who I amI tried so hardThought I could do this on my own I've lost so much along the way

Then I'll see your faceI know I'm finally yours I find everything I thought I lost before You call my name I come to you in pieces So you can make me whole

I've come undone But you make sense of who I am Like puzzle pieces in your eye

Then I'll see your faceI know I'm finally yours I find everything I thought I lost before You call my name I come to you in pieces So you can make me whole

I tried so hardSo hardI tried so hard

Then I'll see your faceI know I'm finally yours I find everything I thought I lost before You call my name I come to you in pieces So you can make me wholeSo you can make me whole

07. Break Me Down

A long day alone Emptiness is so real Never having peace of mind Running from what I can't sing And there is nowhere left to hideTurn and face these empty liesAll alone, heart unturnedTrying to find

Break me down replace this fear insideTake this nothingness from meI want to fightI want to shineI want to riseBreak me down

I try to find myselfI find the stranger trapped inside And I'll take one more step away From the face I used to recognizeFamiliar shadows closing inSuffocating fear descendsYou killed a life, uncovered eyes

I'm trying to findBreak me down replace this fear insideTake this nothingness from meI want to fightI want to shineI want to riseBreak me down

Replace this fear insideTake this nothingness from meI want to fightI want to shineI want to riseBreak me down

09. Gave It All Away

You're here, trembling with fearYou made it clearYou turned your back and now you've gone astray Nothing left to say What's standing in your way?You had the chance to never walk alone

But you gave it all awayWhen I needed you to stay Just open up your arms I need you here I can do this on my own I got nothing left to show Open up your arms I need you here

Again, lying in your bedNightmares is in your head Facing all that you just threw away At the edge againIt's coming to an end You had the chance to never walk alone

But you gave it all awayWhen I needed you to stay Just open up your arms I need you here I can do this on my own I got nothing left to show Open up your arms I need youI need you, here... hereI need you, here... here

You gave it all awayI needed you to stay Open up your arms I need you

I can do this on my ownI got nothing left to showOpen up your arms I need you hereBut you gave it all awayWhen I needed you to stay Just open up your arms I need you here I can do this on my ownI got nothing left to showOpen up your arms I need you here

10. Hide

Waste away I'm crawling blindHollowed by what I left inside For you, just you I'm caught in placeBut I ignore what I can't erase

I will run and hide till memories fade awayAnd I will leave behind a love so strong

Close my eyes theses voices say Haunting me, I can't escape For you, just you Time will always wait While I throw away what I can't replace

I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strongI will run and hideAnd I will leave behind

I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong

written by Jasen Rauch, Anthony Armstrong, Rob Graves, and Bernie Herms

Behind the Song:"Inspired by Genesis 3:8, when we feel the guilt of our mistakes, we want to hide away from God just as Adam and Eve did. We don't feel worthy of His mercy. We feel like all is lost. But inside, even in our shame, we know we can never find a love as strong as God’s love." – Red

02. Fight Inside

EnemyFamiliar friendMy beginning and my endKnowing truthWhispering liesAnd it hurts again

What I fearAnd what I tryThe words I say and what I hideAll the painI want it to endBut I want it again

And it finds meThe fight inside isCoursing through my veinsAnd it's ragingThe fight insideIs breaking me again

Still the samePursuing painIs it worth all I have gainedWe both knowHow this will endBut I do it again

And it finds meThe fight inside isCoursing through my veinsAnd it's ragingThe fight insideIs hurting me againAnd it finds meThe war within mePulls me underAnd without YouThe fight insideIs breaking me again

Page 14: Red Lyrics

It's nothing (It's everything)

It's nothingIt's everything

It's breaking meIt's breaking me

I'm falling apartI'm falling apart

Words & music by Jasen Rauch, Rob Graves, Bernie Herms and Jason McArthur

Behind the Song:More than any other song, “Fight Inside” is an anthem for what the entire album is all about. “On our first release End of Silence, we addressed issues we struggled with, but this time it’s about the struggle itself,” says guitarist-songwriter Jasen Rauch. “Fight Inside,” which opens the “Standard Edition” of the album, encapsulates the struggle between “innocence” and “instinct” that resonates through all the songs. Swinging from beautiful piano-driven verses to an explosive chorus—and a furious climax—the music captures the internal tug-o-war inside us all between good and evil, light and darkness, spirit and flesh, exploring that fragile barrier between overcoming and being overcome.

03. Death of Me

I should've seen all the signs all around meBut I was comfortable inside these woundsSo go ahead and take another piece of me nowWhile we all bow down to you

You tear me down and then you pick me upYou take it all and still it's not enoughYou try to tell me you can heal meBut I'm still bleedingAnd you will be the death of me

How can you help my afflictionIf you're the sickness and not the cureToo long I've faked this addictionAnother sacrifice to make us pure

I won’t forget, I cannot forget thisI won't forget, I'll never forget this

I won't forget, I'll never forget

I know I can never prove this illusionYou aren't the one that I thought you wereAnd so I learned to embrace this delusionThe line that separates us starts to blur

And you will be the death of meYou will be the death of meI won’t forget, I cannot forget thisAnd you will be the death of me

Words & Music by Jasen Rauch and Rob Graves

Behind the Song:In “Death of Me,” the band steps inside the throes of conflict as an emotionally wounded Michael Barnes laments, “You tear me down and then you pick me up/You take it all and still it's not enough.” However, the unexpected twist behind the meaning of the lyrics is that YOU are the ‘you’ in the song. “The song is really a regretful introspective moment, where you realize that your own actions have led you down a path you never wanted to take,” says guitarist Anthony Armstrong. “You are the one who keeps tearing yourself down in some kind of vicious cycle that never seems to end.” Despite its angry moments, the song weeps the emotions of a soul teetering on the brink, while still packing a powerhouse chorus and gorgeous strings that float effortlessly beside the loud crunchy guitars.

04. Mystery of You

You always said we'd meet againYou always said You'd be hereWhere are You now?You touched the deepest part of meThe places I could not seeJust tell me why I'm so dark inside

Somewhere I will findAll the pieces torn apartYou just left behindIn Your mysterySomewhere I will seeAll You've taken from meAll You kept deep insideIn the mystery of YouThe mystery of You

It's obvious You understandThe blood that's on my handsWhere are You now?I'm paralyzed, I can't escapeUntil I see Your faceDon't leave me all aloneYou're all I know

You're all I knowYou’re all I knowDon't go, don't go

Somewhere I will findThe pieces torn apartYou've hidden deep insideThe mystery of You(Somewhere, somewhere)The mystery of You(Somewhere)

05. Start Again

And I remember everything, everything I loved I gave it away like it wasn't enough All the words I said and all You forgive How could I hurt You again? What if I let You win? What if I make it right? What if I give it up?What if I want to try? What if You take a chance? What if I learn to love? What if, what if we start again?

On this time I can make it right With one more tryCan we start again? In my eyes You can see it now Can we start again? Can we start again?

The emptiness inside me I wonder if You see It's my mistake and it's hurting me I know where we've been How'd we get so far? What if, what if we start again?

I'm lost inside the pain I feel without You I can't stop holding on I need You with meI'm caught inside the painCan we ever start again?I'm lost without You

One more tryCan we start again? In my eyes can You forgive me now? Can we start again? Can we start again? One more tryCan we start again? Can we start again? Can You forgive me now?Can we start again?

06. Never Be the Same

I know You Who are You now Look into my eyes If You can't remember Do You rememberI can see, I can still find You're the only voice my heart can recognize But I can't hear You now, yeah

I'll never be the same I'm caught inside the memories The promises Our yesterdays When I belonged to You I just can't walk away ‘Cause after loving You I can never be the same

And how can I pretend I never knew You Like it was all a dream, no I know I'll never forget The way I always felt with You beside me And how You loved me then, yeah

You led me here But then I watched You disappear You left this emptiness inside And I can't turn back time No, stay Nothing compares to You Nothing compares to You I can't let You go Can't let You go I can't let You...

I'll never be the same Not after loving You Not after loving You, no

I'll never be the same I'm caught inside the memories The promises Our yesterdays

Page 19: Red Lyrics

When I belonged to You I just can't walk away ‘Cause after loving You I can never be the same I can never be the same I will never be the same

I just can't walk away No, I can't walk away, from You

Words & Music by Jasen Rauch, Rob Graves, Jason McArthur, Mike Seminari and Todd Nielsen

Behind the Song:Epitomizing the “innocence” side of the album, “Never Be the Same” naturally overflows with upbeat energy, optimism, and a chorus that can’t be forgotten. “On the surface, it’s about a relationship that changes you forever,” says singer Michaei Barnes, whose soothing vocal performance resonates with depth and passion. In its deeper subtexts, the song is about standing in the crossroads between the past and the future, fighting forward without forgetting battles past. “Whether it’s a recovered addict looking back on that which once controlled him or a person simply reflecting on something lost or nearly lost, the song is about those issues that make up the chemistry of who you are,” explains guitarist-songwriter Jasen Rauch. “You've overcome it and it’s no longer a part of your life, but if you hadn’t gone through it, you wouldn’t be who you are today.”

And I can breatheAnd I still feelBut not the way I want toI'm on the edgeI don't know howI can escape this nightmare

08. Shadows

The sunsetI close my eyesI pretend everything's alrightDrowning in anger from all these liesI can't pretend everything's alrightPlease don't let me fall foreverCan You tell me it's over now?

There's a hate inside of me like some kind of masterI try to save You but I can't find the answerI'm holding on to YouI'll never let goI need You with me as I enter the shadows

Caught in the darknessI go blindCan You help me find my way out?Nobody hears me, I suffer the silenceCan You tell me it's over now?

I'm holding on to YouI'm holding on to You

Words & Music by Jasen Rauch, Rob Graves and Benjamin Burnley

Behind the Song:Co-written by Benjamin Burnley, lead singer of rock band Breaking Benjamin, “Shadows” channels the psyche of a person pleading to break out from a box of hate, anger and loneliness. As is common to RED’s style, “Shadows” captures different moods and energies, from the somber loop-driven verses to the guitar-heavy anthem-chorus to the whispered bridge and abrupt screams. Though on the surface it’s about not wanting to be alone, “Shadows” is really an honest cry for help while standing before a hurdle that is simply too high. “When we ‘enter the shadows’ we yearn for something larger than ourselves to lead us through.”

09. Ordinary World

Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenueI thought I heard You talking softlyI turned on the lights, the TV and the radioAnd still I can't escape the ghost of YouWhat has happened to it all?Crazy, some would sayWhere is the life that I recognize?Gone away

But I won't cry for yesterdayThere's an ordinary worldSomehow I have to findAnd as I try to make my wayTo the ordinary worldI will learn to survive

Passion or coincidence once prompted You to say,"Pride will tear us both apart"Well now pride's gone out the window'Cross the rooftops, run awayLeft me in the vacuum of my heartWhat has happened to me?Crazy, some would sayWhere is my friend when I need You most?Gone away

What has happened to it all?Crazy, some would sayWhere is the world that I recognize?Gone away

And I won’t cry for yesterdayThere's an ordinary worldSomehow I have to findAnd as I try to make my wayTo the ordinary worldI will learn to survive

Everyone is my worldI will learn to surviveEveryone, everyoneSomehow I have to find

Words & Music by Nicholas Bates, Warren Cuccurullo, Simon Le Bon and John Taylor

Behind the Song:Accented heavily by piano and strings, this Duran Duran cover takes a decidedly RED direction, featuring a twisted fusion of dreamy orchestration and loud six-string distortion. “There’s just a dynamic and depth musically in ‘Ordinary World’ that is not present in most pop songs,” explains guitar player Anthony Armstrong. “Technically it’s a difficult song that challenges the pop formula. Lyrically, the song just fit the overall theme of Innocence & Instinct by its longing for a return to something more familiar, more secure, more ordinary.”

10. Out From Under

Knocked off my feetThe earth moved beneathThe edge of a dream and a nightmareI opened the doorFell through the floorI slipped through the cracks into nowhere

So tell me where were YouWhen everything fell down like thunderI begged You to pull me throughI couldn't get out from under

I took the fall, I took it allMy smile was just an illusionCut me I bleed, reveal me I needI finally broke in the pressure

So tell me where were YouWhen everything fell down like thunderI begged You to pull me throughI couldn't get out from underLeft me for dead, inside my headCouldn't You see that I was still breathingScreaming I reached for YouI couldn't get out from under

Where were You?I reached for YouThe pressure pulled me downWhere were You?I reached for YouThe pressure pulled me

Where were You?The pressure pulled me Where were You?The pressure pulled meWhere were You?I reached for You

11. Take It All Away

You've stripped me down, the layers fall like rainIt's over now, just innocence and instinct still remainYou watched me while I slowly disappearedI reached for you to save me, you were frozen in your fear

Take it all away, Take it all awayTake it all away, Take it all away

Circling the pain inside my soulI reached inside Your silence to steal what You won't showI try to find the answers in my fearsBut what was found is lost again as soon as it appears

I'm breaking, I can't do this on my ownCan You hear me screaming out?Am I all alone?

You take awayYou take away

Words & Music by Jasen Rauch and Rob Graves

Behind the Song:“Take It All Away,” which concludes the “Standard Edition” of the album, is inspired by a tumultuous time in songwriter-guitarist Jasen Rauch’s life. The song is a haunting acoustic prayer set against midnight’s long shadow. “It’s very dark, uncomfortable and unresolved, and the production stays congruent with these unresolved feelings,” explains Rauch. “There’s an eerie effect in the verse where three or four voices sing the same thing, but each comes from a different place. There’s a frail melody that carries the actual verse and another that is whispered a beat behind it with a lost, tormented voice. It’s about finding yourself in a dark place you never thought you’d be in. For me, it was a really crippling time.”

12. Overtake You (Deluxe Edition Bonus)

Time, it's eating me alive,Unable to rewind,Sink deeper while I'm climbing,Never to arrive,I gave you everything,But you still need to feed,And underneath it all I'm screaming out:

[chorus:]Just carry one, just prove me wrongI know that I'm dying right now.And it seems like that I'm so far goneBut not for long.I'll just be strong and keep knowingThat now I will overtake you.

You must want what you can use,Won't risk what you can lose,Play the victim while keep abusing,Anyone you choose,A painful consequence,Of standing on your lies,I'm barely breathing but I'm screaming out

(Just carry on)I know that I'm dying right now,And it seems that I'm so far gone(Overtake you)I'll just be strong and keep knowingThat know I will overtake you

YOU COME TO GET ME BUT YOU'LL END UP DEAD

Behind the Song:The first full-song bonus track on the Deluxe Edition, the song “Overtake You” rivals “Death of Me” and “Out From Under' as the album’s most aggressive song. Lead vocalist Michael Barnes is at his best as he confidently screams, “You’ll come to get me but you’ll end up dead!” According to songwriter-guitarist Jasen Rauch, “This song is proud, boastful and arrogant in challenging something you believe you can truly overcome. It was fun to write, and it’s definitely fun to play.”

Page 26: Red Lyrics

13. Forever (Deluxe Edition Bonus)

I try to run, I try to hideFrom a voice that couldn't satisfy. That was me, always needing moreAnd letting go of all I had before.'Cause it feels like the end,A wound that I can't mend,I just can't fight any longer.

[bridge]You waited 'til I soberedYou came when You knew that the game was overI didn't even want to be found

[chorus]But You chased me down and broke in,Just when I was done believingSpun me round so close now,I can feel You breathingSunlight burns inside andI feel so alive andHelp me now, tell me howHow can this last forever?Forever

I ignored the signs,Opened every door,But I couldn't find what I searched for.I try to fight, but I turn and run,Every move I make is the wrong one.You patiently wait for my next mistake,I know it won't be much longer

[Bridge][Chorus]

You gave me so much more,Than I could ever ask for.But I turned and followedI road that left me hollow. And You still waited for me to come back home,You brought me home....

[Chorus]

Until We Have Faces (2011)

01. Feed The Machine

Turn around, they might be watchingAnd you never disappoint themHide your innocence before they see right throughYou mustn’t disappoint themYou need the danger just to feel your heart beatYou need to die just to find your identityYou need the knife just to know that you can bleedYou need the pain now just to feel anything

We fall in line, we live the lieGive up, give up and feed the machineIt grows inside, nowhere to hideGive up, give up and feed the machineGive up, give up and feed the machine

They pull you faster, the cadence callingAnd you never fall behindSo choose a face, you’re only crawling nowYou mustn’t fall behindYou need another death just to have a life to saveYou need a master just so you can begYou need a light just because you’re so afraidNow bow and learn to be a good slave

Sleep, shhh, go back to sleep

Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up

Wake up, wake up and kill the machineWake up, wake up and kill the machine

Page 28: Red Lyrics

02. Faceless

A voice screaming from withinBegging just to feel againCan’t find who I am without you near meI’d give anything to liveWithout you I don’t existYou’re the only one who saves me from myself

I abandoned this love and laid it to restAnd now I’m one of the forgotten

I’m not, I’m not myselfFeel like I’m someone elseFallen and facelessSo hollow, hollow insideA part of me is deadNeed you to live againCan you replace thisI’m hollow, hollow and faceless

Shadows growing in my mindOnes I just can’t leave behindI’m not strong enough to pay this ransomOne more monster crawled insideBut I swear I’d saw it dieCan you save me from the nothing I’ve become

I abandoned this love and laid it to restAnd now I’m one of the forgotten

We are the facelessWe are the namelessWe are the hopelessUntil we have faces

03. Lie To Me (Denial)

Tell yourself it’s over nowTry to kill a broken vowIf only you could find the strength to kill the memoriesThese empty pages never turnYou lit the flame and let them burnYou tried to bury me so deep but what lies beneathWill your hope die aloneWill you fade on your ownCan you just turn away and let me go

Lie to me if you can feelThat this love was never realWalk away if you can learn to love againLie to me, if you can leaveI’ll still be here when you seeYou’re not alone, you don’t have to run againAnd leave me in denial

All your secrets crawl insideYou keep them safe, you let them hideYou feel them drinking in your painTo kill the memoriesSo close your eyes and let it hurtThe voice inside begins to stirAre you reminded of all you used to beCan you just turn away and let me go

All the pain you fedIt starts to grow insideIt lives again and you can’t let it dieSo you believe you’ll never findA reason to love again

Lie to me, watch me bleedI’ll be here when you see you’re not aloneYou don’t need to runLie to me, and watch me bleedCause I’ll still be here when you seeYou’re not alone, you don’t have to run againAnd leave me in denialYou can learn to love again

04. Let It Burn

I watch this city burnThese dreams like ashes float awayYour voice I never heardOnly silenceWhere were you when our hearts were bleedingWhere were you, it all crashed downI never thought that you’d deceive meWhere are you now

(How long) Can you stand the pain(How long) How long will you hide your face(How long) How long will you be afraidAre you afraid(How long) Will you play this game(How long) Will you fight or will you walk away(How long) How long will you let it burnLet it burn, let it burn

I watch this city burnThese passions slowly smolderingA lesson never learnedOnly violenceIs your world just a broken promiseIs your love just a drop of rainWill we all just burn like fireAre you still there, tell me now

Will you wait till it all burns downWill you hide till it all burns downWill it hurt when it all burns downWill you fight when it all burns downWill you stand when it all burns downWill you love when it all burns downWill it end when it all burns downWill you just let it all burn down

05. Buried Beneath

My eyes have adjusted to darkAnd so has my heartThe weight of the world has covered meI’m in over my headAm I living or deadCan anyone hear me calling outI’m calling out

I’m finally breakingSo where are you nowIt’s been such a long timeThat I’ve tried to live withoutI’m suffocating, I need you to breatheSo reach down and pull me up, pull me outBefore I am buried beneath

I built this house on the shoreAll I wanted was moreThen I felt the sand start shiftingI saw the cracks in the wallsI painted over them allI tried my best to just ignoreI can’t ignore

I thought I was climbing outBut it’s dragging me downWhat’s hidden here with meThought I was aloneBut it pulls me deeper nowI can’t escape

Page 32: Red Lyrics

06. Not Alone

Slowly fading awayYou’re lost and so afraidWhere is the hope in a world so coldLooking for a distant lightSomeone who can save a lifeLiving in fear that no one will hear your cryCan you save me now

I am with youI will carry you through it allI won’t leave you, I will catch youWhen you feel like letting go‘Cause you’re not, you’re not alone

Your heart is full of broken dreamsJust a fading memoryAnd everything’s gone, but the pain carries onLost in the rain againWhen will it ever endThe arms of relief seem so out of reachBut I, I am here

And I will be your hopeWhen you feel like it’s overAnd I will pick you upWhen your whole world shattersAnd when you’re finally in my armsYou’ll look up and see, love has a face

And I will be your hope(You’re not alone)And I will pick you upAnd I will be your hopeAnd I will be your hope

Slowly fading awayYou’re lost and so afraidWhere is the hope in a world so cold

Page 33: Red Lyrics

07. Watch You Crawl

You put my back against the wallWatching, waitingYou never thought I’d get this farBeneath your skinI watched you swim with all your liesThey pulled you underAnd as you wait for my demiseI’m just getting strongerI’m learning who you really areAnd nothing can save you

I will fight until the endGet ready to collideAnd I will watch you fall againI’ll bury you aliveYou tried to bring me to my kneesYou tried to take it allNow I will stand and watch you crawl

I’ll put you back where you belongHopeless, fadingAnd I will rise while youBecome the monster you have fedI’ll let you drown in your despairNow nothing can save you

I’m still hereNow I’m gonna watch you beg

Page 34: Red Lyrics

08. The Outside

What if I’m not the sameWhat if I never let go of the blameWhat if you dragged me back againWhat if I won’t let you just pretend

I erase this memoryI escape this gravityIs that how I used to beIs that the price of my identity

I’m standing on the outsideI’m looking in on what you can’t hideI’m dying on the inside‘Cause now I can see your liesFrom the outside

What if I’m still ashamedWhat if I can’t let go of the painWhat if I have something to loseWhat if I’ve got nothing left to prove

I replace this life you stoleI embrace the world I knowWhat if you were always wrongAnd what if I said I knew it all along

I’m not youI will never be youI won’t let you pull me through

09. Who We Are

We were the ones who weren’t afraidWe were the brokenheartedWe were the scars that wouldn’t fade awayHow did we let go, how did we forgetThat we don’t have to hideWe won’t believe the lies againWe won’t be paralyzed

We can be who we are, now we are aliveWe can fight, they cannot contain usIt’s who we are, we are undying(We are forever)We won’t hide our faces from the lightEliminate the space between usIt’s who we are, we are foreverIt’s who we are

We were the tears that passion criedWe were the sacrificedWe were the flame that wouldn’t die insideHow did we go wrong, we will not forgetWe won’t get left behindWe won’t give up this fight againWe won’t be denied

We will never dieWe will never dieWe will not denyNow we are alive

Page 36: Red Lyrics

10. Best Is Yet To Come

Afraid it won’t come ‘round againAfraid to move onWishing I could go back whenEverything was easier and meaningful to me

Wanting all we left behindLike it’s the answerAn hourglass we can’t rewindHolding back the life that I’ve denied for so longCan I find my way to you

And after all that we’ve been throughAnd after all we left in piecesI still believe our lives have just begun‘Cause now the past can be outrunAnd I know you are the reasonI still believe the best is yet to come

A photograph still in my handsAfraid to let goThe minutes rain like grains of sandAnd time is just a war that’s stealing dreams from withinSo come and take them back again

I won’t turn aroundAnd let it all slip awayI’m never backing down‘Cause tomorrow’s a new dayAnd everything can change

11. Hymn For The Missing

Tried to walk togetherBut the night was growing darkThought you were beside meBut I reached and you were goneSometimes I hear you callingFrom some lost and distant shoreI hear you crying softly for the way it was before

Where are you nowAre you lostWill I find you againAre you aloneAre you afraidAre you searching for me

Why did you goI had to stayNow I’m reaching for youWill you waitWill you waitWill I see you again

You took it with you when you leftThese scars are just a traceNow it wanders lost and woundedThis heart that I misplaced
