It is essential for planning purposes that enrolments are finalised as soon as possible. Prep enrolments are high for this time of the year. It is most likely that there will be will be four infant grades in 2015, all with very small class sizes. We are also planning on having an addi- tional senior grade in 2015. It is important that parents advise the school as soon as possible if they know their children will not be attending Red Cliffs Primary School next year. Prep Activity Night: This Thursday Prep children will be participating in an Activity Session at school from 3.15- 6.00pm. The children will be preparing and then eating afternoon tea. They will then participate in fun activities and games. Permission notes were sent home last week. All parents must collect their child from the classroom at 6:00pm sharp. Representative Basketball: 10 grade 5 and boys represented the school very well at the 2014 Sunraysia South Division Basket- ball Tournament on Monday. We won convincingly against Koorlong and then against Red Cliffs East. We then lost by 2 in a nail-biting game against a combined Koorlong/Cardross team. Great skill and sportsmanship was displayed by all. Special thanks to Leeanne Lidsey for her expertise in coaching the boys! Special Forever: Students from grades 3 and 4 submitted entries in this year’s “Special Forever” project. I am pleased to advise that seventeen children have had their work accepted for display and publication. Parents and students are invited to the “Special Forever” opening at the Mildura Arts Centre this Thursday evening from 6.00pm. I am pleased to announce that 42 of our students shared a total of 62 awards. I sincerely thank Mrs Amie Warburton for her amazing effort in co-ordinating our entries. Well done kids! “Write4Fun”: Students from Red Cliffs Primary were invited to submit entries in the “Write4Fun” writing competition late in term 3. Katrina Clifford– grade 4, has been informed that her poem “Whirlwind” has progressed to the final round. I hope to have some further good news next week. Well done Katrina.

The Active After-school Communities program is a major component of the Australian Government's package Building a Healthy, Active Australia that aims to improve the health and well-being of Australian children.

Red Cliffs Primary OSHCS is participating in the AASC program in Term 4, Week 3 on Wednesday and Friday nights and will run for seven weeks. This program has been developed to run in the after school timeslot to provide families with

The program will offer fun, safe and inclusive activities, which will provide children with the opportunity to develop their mo-tor skills. It also promotes a healthy lifestyle in a comfortable, non-competitive environment. The program has been designed to engage traditional non-active children whilst using a variety of local personnel; to de-liver the activities, in an aim to promote local community links.

Sixty-six students from Grade Prep-6 have generated a total of 110 artworks which were entered into the Mildura Show Art Competitions this year.

Forty-two of these students earned places in various categories, giving our school a total of 62 awards:

10=1st Place, 9=2nd Place, 9=3rd Place, 8=4th Place and 26 Encouragement Awards. Congratulations to the winners and participants!!!
