CONFIRMACION Y PRIMERA COMUNION Este año ya hemos concluido las clases de confirmación y primera comunión pero para los

que tienen hijos que quieran registrarse y empezar con su preparación para este año estén

atentos para el próximo curso que se dará inicio será en septiembre. Las registraciones

CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION

This year we have already finished confirmation and first communion classes but for

those who have children who want to continue their preparation, be attentive to the next

course that will begin in September. Registrations will be in August.

Note: If your documents were not complete they will not receive the certificate of

confirmation or communion the day they receive their sacrament, we ask you to deliver

the necessary and missing information to the office as soon as possible.

Foundation Distributions exceed $650,000

This month the St. Luke Catholic School Foundation makes its annual contribution to the school. The 2017 contribution of

$46,700 sends total foundation distributions above the $650,000 over the past 20 years. Endowment earnings are used

to fund academic programs, student financial assistance and facilities improvements. A strong stock market and the

continued investment of foundation donors have pushed total assets to the $1,000,000 mark. An important partner in this

work, Joe Weston of Portland, has matched contributions annually, this year $20,000. Without the participation of our local donors the St. Luke Foundation would not achieve this

match. We are grateful to all who make this possible.

We hope that parishioners and all community members who share the desire the support the school on a sustaining basis, will participate in the work of building this financial resource. Opportunities to contribute include participation through the

Annual Appeal, memorial gift giving and estate planning. For more information about the Foundation contact

The Sisters will be out of the office for two months which will be for July and August. They take this time to continue to study and do spiritual ex-

ercises to attend a retreat and their different congregations in Mexico.
