The main setting of Twilight is in Forks, Washington. The setting plays a major part of the story because the natural weather patterns allow the Cullens to live there. A lush, rainy forest populates most of the town. The time is not specified but appears to be “present day”.

Example:Protagonist: The protagonist in Twilight is Isabella Swan. She is the main character because everything is from her perspective.Antagonist: There are many antagonists in Twilight. Edward can be an antagonist because of his reluctance to initially get close to Bella. But James is the main antagonist of the story. He wants to kill Bella to torture Edward. To him, it is all a game, a hunt. He is who Edward and Bella primarily struggle against.
