Reading Enrichment Project - Setting

Setting: The time and place of a story’s action

Setting: Example from your book

The main setting of Twilight is in Forks, Washington. The setting plays a major part of the story because the natural weather patterns allow the Cullens to live there. A lush, rainy forest populates most of the town. The time is not specified but appears to be “present day”.

Example: The narrator of Twilight is Isabella Swan. First person point of view is used in the story.“About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn’t know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.” ― Stephenie Meyer, Twilight
