shares or other securities in the company witha nominal value of more than £25,000 or ifyou own more than 1/100th of the issuedshares or securities. If there are severalclasses of shares or securities, the fraction of1/100th applies to any of those classes.These limits also apply to deposits withindustrial and provident societies, and co-operative societies.

A company or body corporate is active in theborough if it has land or a place of business inthe borough.

The requirement also covers shares andsecurities in which you have a beneficialinterest even though they are held in thename or names of other people. You have abeneficial interest in a type of share if youown or are entitled to the proceeds, or ifthrough a trust or will, you become entitled to

the proceeds of that type of share.

D. Contracts with the Authority

9. You must describe all contracts, of which you

are aware, which are not fully discharged, andwhich are:

(a) contracts for the supply of goods,services or works to the Councilor onthe Council's behalf, and

(b) between the Council and eitheryourself, or, a firm in which you are apartner, or, a company of which youare a remunerated director, or, a bodycorporate in which you have disclosedyour interest under Section C("Interests in Companies andSecurities").

This includes either a contract between youremployer and the Councilor a contractbetween the Council and one of yourcorporate interests for the provision of goods

or services.

You need not say what the financialarrangements are, but should say for howlong the contract is for.

E. Land in the Area of the Authority

10. You must declare any land in the borough inwhich you have a beneficial interest (that is, inwhich you have some property interest foryour own benefit). You should give theaddress or a brief description which issufficient to identify the location.

You must also include any property fromwhich you receive rent, or of which you are

the mortgagee.

This includes rented, jointly owned or leasedproperty.

"Land" includes any buildings or parts ofbuildings.

You must give the address or otherdescription (sufficient to identify the location)of any land or property where the Council isthe landlord and the tenant is you or a firm inwhich you are a partner, or, a company inwhich you are a remunerated director, or, abody corporate in which you have disclosedyour interest under Section C ("Interests inCompanies and Securities").

G . Licences to Occupy Land

12. You must declare any land in the boroughwhich you have a right or licence to occupy(alone or jointly with others) for 28 days orlonger. You must give the address or a briefdescription sufficient to identify the location.You need not refer under this heading to land

which you own or have a tenancy of.

"Land" includes any buildings or parts ofbuildings.
