Poised between poetry and ordinary life, my work appears

as a subtle and sophisticated game of contradictions. It deals

with a processes of hybridization that acts between reality and

fiction, slipping in an aseptic and empty universe, appearing

as a projection of the ego and as a redefinition of the collective

identity. A passage that defines a universe always ironic and

challenging, contradictory and kind, in which a seemingly tame

emerges discreetly small and subtle fractured. A careful research

about fragile emotions, hopes and dreams.

The dark room by Raffaele Fiorella works in reverse. The negative is not what you start with the focus and the resulting photographic paper but the culmination of a

regression, from the constellation of a myriad of photographs taken from the artist’s experience (or a collective imagination), distributed in space and exposed to infra-thin

usability, it clears the memory and flip in favor of a tear, a unsewing counts where the removal before the filing. So all the photos, despite the presence of a partial tear or

damage, are exposed as they had just emerged from the development acids: are added in this way the effects of a new image and made available with the simultaneous

destructive component, which invalidates the whole making process.

The entire work defines a process of contamination of memory in both temporal and affective. The photo references are strongly associated with the wide range of

memories, is spoiled by the juxtaposition of time coming and remote from the absence of any solution of continuity among quotations of pleasure and trauma.

LANDSCAPE is inspired by Italo Calvino’s “ Le Citta Invisibili” . The project will involve the creation of 55 video installations, the number of cities in Calvino’s novel. the novel is the context that holds the background to my visual story telling.. The project depicts memory and recovery of memoories, places and moment that i had, visited and experinced or simply imagined.

Desire as a driving force for change, expectation and wish for happiness. A dream materialization, the secret dream that everyone has and treasures it and on which he clutches like it was the only hope to feel free. An autobiographical work, (but not only) that shows me as a accomplished musician, a perfect performer of the Mozart’ impressive Sonata for piano No. 11. Everything, bogus and virtual, is enclosed in a charming and intimate atmosphere with which the viewer can emphasize.Installation is set in a partly dark area. It is performed by a video projector, a DVD player, speaker, model of a piano with chair and a small plant, 2 pedestals.Projector is pointed at objects on pedestals, and it casts shadows on the back wall, in perfect sync with music, it fits with escapologist naturalness into video projection, the black silhouette of a pianist, who is performing a Mozart opus.

Artwork recalls being suspended, the inconvenience of present, the life balance of who moves into a dimension of uncertainty. Into the iterated movement of the man who walks suspended between two miniature chairs, it puts at stake the vision of a focused tenacity flowing in the dream. A sensible uncertainty, a void filled by “desi-re”, a small and soft future assumption.

Waiting ForVideoinstallation, 11 lcd 7 inch , 11 video loop 2 min, wood, 2010

“Ha da passà ‘a nuttata”. I wanted to say that there were still to be fought internal enemies as the disorder, violen-ce, corruption […] Was a messag optimistic, an appeal to men of good will to work for a different and better future. […]

Inspired comedy Edoardo de Filippo, Napoli Milionaria, the art work its focus on waiting, dominant theme of co-medy. “Waiting” as indefinite space, space of hope often fill whit simple everyday actions, looking out a window as if it were the only way out for our thoughts. A period that goes from day to night, in which desire and reality confuse their borders ...The work shows 11 white cubes of wood holes in the front, in direction of hole is mounted a little window of balsa wood. Within each cube is placed a screen lcd 7 “which are programmed through the looping video (11 videos in all) that tell everyone a different story.

“The artist hovers slightly above the ground, away from material things, directed towards an unknown destination. The symbolism of flight in the dream indicates the desire to escape but also the desire to try new things, the claim of the primacy of imagination and a lightness in oppo-sition to the heaviness and opacity of the world “.... “Flying entails the need to rise, but also the fear of falling, the aspiration towards a “high” goal , but, in the same time, the anxiety of the possible loss and defeat.

The Artworks has been thought and realized for the show Upupa curated by Grazia De Palma near the Blu Org Gal-lery in Bari. Idea has been that to realize something that could perfectly integrate with the space, to attract the at-tention of the spectators and to virtually interact with them. This assembles his poetic on the theme of the trap as ne-gation of vital movement but also as mental manipulation. A social trap, mediatica, politics in which we unconsciously find again there to live and that to work we succeed and to find streets of exit. The rear proejction on the glass of the trap door that co-vers her/it, projects in perspective my image that emerges from the fund, with a torch and with scheming messages drawn on the glass misted by the breath, I try to attract the attention of the present public. The video repeats him in a constant loop alternated from slow moments and of worry tied up to the lack of air and moments faster hysterics.

The DinnerVideoinstallation, lcd da 7inch screen, video loop 3 min.,wood,2010

The idea is to recreate a mini home within an exhibition space on a false wall. Technically, a crack is created on a plasterbo-ard and is placed inside a window in a model of balsa wood in the back, near the hole, is located a 7-inch LCD screen on which is programmed into a video loop . In The Dinner, a man is taken in the interest of preparing dinner. Apparently isola-ted and protected in its nest (home), the actor finds himself without his knowledge to be observed by anyone who watches the work on display.

Virtual SoldierVideoinstallation site specific, rear proejction, video loop 5 min.”, 2007

San Vincenzo, a small city on the Tyrrhenian coast in the province of Livorno, was inhabited since ancient times. Its old name was “Torre di San Vincenzo”, from the presence of a tower built on the coast of the country. This tower is part of a series of coastal fortifications and watchtowers created to defend the town centers from pirate attacks.VIRTUAL SOLDIER comes from the idea to revive and rebuild the identity that the tower once had, that is a control fortress. The idea was to recreate something dynamic and surreal, which could “speak” to people by using one of the most communicative and expressive means: the video. The videoinstallation consists of a rear projection into one of the tower windows, located on the front side of the structure. The rear-projected video, repeatingin acontinuous loop, is a soldier (white silhouette on a black background) who awkwardly controls the tower.

The body of the soldier assumes a new, not real identity, amodifiable posthuman configuration. A grotesque virtual projection and construction of the form, which not only derives from a morphological change, but more frequently from a disproportionate, not self-regulate devolutionary development.

The very first phase of my work represents the contemporary social reality, my first phase of job

represents the contemporary social reality all taken by to appear, rather than from the being,

and it narrates the language of the body that has assumed an essential role in the substantial

definition of the individual.

“The physical aspect almost comes to overlap, or to take the place of, to the same identity of

the individual, it doesn’t represent the container of the identity anymore, but it constitutes the

true essence of it. This meddler creation process introduces us, therefore, to a serious, and to

the meantime complex, consideration of the role or value, of the human corporality in the social

behavioral dynamics and in the individual cultural-psychological trials.”

The grotesque physiognomy becomes, therefore, territory for mutations and metamorphosis

that bring to a deforming manipulation of the human being who becomes, from the creative

point of view, a rag doll and a toy, too.
