A Special Thank You to WKAR Radio ListenersWKAR listeners came through loud and clear during our fall radio pledge. A big, warm thank you to all who called in or made your pledge online!

During our radio pledge week, a total of $122,000 was pledged with 140 of those pledges coming from new members. This would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our fall pledge underwriters and volunteers, in addition to the nearly 1,000 listeners who made contributions. You are the reason WKAR can stay on the air and continue to create ways to delight and inform the mid-Michigan area.

So we can continue to hear from you this month, WKAR Radio will be hosting two Coffee and Conversations to discuss your ideas about our news programming at Schuler Books & Music’s Chapbook Café.

    • Tue., Nov. 12, 6 pm at the Meridian Mall

    • Tue., Nov. 19, 6 pm at the Eastwood Towne Center

We are also airing two Faculty Recitals in November. The first recital will be Monday, Nov. 4, 7:30 pm from the Fairchild Theatre. The performance will feature Suren Bagratuni on cello and Minsso Sohn on the piano. On Saturday, Nov. 16, 8 pm, listen to 90.5 from the Cook Recital Hall to hear violinist Dmitri Berlinsky, a soloist with the Cath International Chamber.

Again, your generous support enables WKAR Radio to bring worldclass local programming, performed right here in mid-Michigan, to listeners like you!

    Support WKAR’s Annual Food Bank DriveNov. 1 – Dec.15

For the 26th year, WKAR will be collecting items from viewers, listeners, MSU students and our colleagues at Michigan State University for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

As always, high-protein, professionally packaged items are welcome, including canned juices, peanut butter, soups and cereal. In addition, we also accept personal products, including toilet paper, tissue and dental items.

Please bring your donations to WKAR’s south lobby at the Communication Arts & Sciences building on the MSU Campus, or to the MSU Library’s circulation desk in their south lobby.

U.S. Post Office regulations requires that WKAR publish this Statement of Ownership, Management and Circulation for StayTuned once a year.
