Mounting Standards

EIA Rack Mounted Servers sometimes don’t fit within a cabinet. This may be due to the cabinet not conforming to the EIA standards. This usually happens when cabinets are shipped and a belly band is used to secure the cabinets against the shipping container walls. The way to mitigate this issue is to place 1U-3U blanks in midsection of the cabinet to relieve the cabinet from the bending stresses imposed by the belly straps used to secure the cabinets during shipping.
