Ceremony Planning
The ceremony should be celebrated in the spirit of prayer,
solemnity, simplicity and festivity. With the proper
preparation, this event can be a most meaningful faith
experience for the young lady, her family and her parish
community. The main focus of the ceremony is for the young
lady to renew her commitment to live a life of chastity and
service to God and neighbor.
The ceremony should not resemble a wedding or be confused with a wedding in any way.
Liturgy:
St. Hyacinth allows the celebration of the Quinceaños to be
within the context of the Catholic mass if the family desires,
depending on the availability of our Priest. If Fr. Reginald is
not available, then the presider will be a Deacon with the
understanding that the ceremony will be a Liturgy of the
Word.
Eucharist:
Eucharist is only given in the context of a mass. All
participants in the ceremony need to understand that only
practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church are
allowed to receive.
