Volunteer Spotlight!

Mee t Marcy Eng l and...After being diagnosed with stage II breast cancer, Marcy began her cancer journey with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and reconstruction. Volunteering makes the

the long tough journey a blessing for her as she is able to share her story with women who are on their own journey. Marcy said, “This is making something positive come out of being diagnosed with cancer.” She added that it is important to have someone who has been through it to talk with—that it helped her while she was being treated.

Marcy has been volunteering with Cvetko for 4 years. She enjoys excercising, especially yoga and Pilates, but her true passion is mosaic art. We appreciate Marcy and her committment to helping cancer patients cope.

Please help us welcome our new manager, Susan Sayles, MS, RN, OCN. Susan comes to us from Texas Onocology Methodist. At one time, Susan was a Baylor nurse. She has a keen interest in the services Cvetko offers and is excited to help the center expand its services to cancer patients and family members. In the coming months we will be shifting gears and making program changes with the idea of bringingexciting and diverse programs for you to enjoy.
