How we ask questions in Sign Language

Non – Manual Features (N.M.F.)
Facial Expression Movement
Very important.Changes a statement into a question.
E.g: Alright.
Sign Order
This is the sentence structure when asking questions.
Wh? (Who, What, When, Where, How, Why, etc.) usually comes at the end of the sentence.
1st: Topic, Timeline, Object 2nd: Topic, Comments Last: Wh?, Action
Remember Referent!
Point to what/who you are asking the question about.
Not relevant for all questions.E.g: Generally questions relating to the
weather.
Question forms
BSL ENGLISH
Next week weather like what?
Holiday go where?
...
What will the weather be like next week?
Where are you going on Holiday?
How much is that Doggy in the window?
