How can companies create workforce fit for the digital age?

The world is changing and we are in the midst of a fundamental transformation in the way we live and work. This isn’t a time to sit back and wait for events to unfold. The most forward-looking companies are investing in upskilling their people, equipping them with the know-how, skills and mindset required to remain relevant in the digital age.

In cooperation with PwC global experts, we created a development program focused on the skills of 21st century: agility, adaptability, digital literacy, creative problem solving, emotional intelligence and ability to lead change.

Future of workThe workshop provides an overview of economic, technological, social and demo-graphic mega trends influencing how we live and work, and explores the possible scenarios for the future. Drawing on the insights from PwC’s global surveys of business and HR leaders, as well as practical insights from working with clients, participants will learn how the most progressive companies are changing their organisational structure and processes to become „fit for future”.

Module 1 Emotional Intelligence@WorkNew business models which require greater cross-functional collaboration and working in remote teams have elevated the importance of emotional intelligence in business. The workshop addresses four dimensions of emotional intelligence (self-awareness; self-management; social awareness; relationship management) by utilizing SDI (Strengths Deployment Inventory) methodology.

Learning topics

• Emotional intelligence model (Daniel Goleman)

• Relationship awareness theory in practice

• Motivational value systems, according to SDI

• Conflict mitigation using insights from SDI

• Pre-course online assessment/questionnaire

Module 2

• Greater awareness of different thinking and decision making styles

Building Blocks of Digital TransformationThis workshop gives a holistic overview of what it means ‘going digital’ for an organisation, differentiating between four critical dimensions: Technology, Organisation, Processes, and People. Through a real case study, participants will gain experience of a practice-tested approach to build ‘future-ready’ organizations.

Module 3 Design Thinking in BusinessDesign thinking revolves around a deep interest in developing an understanding of the end users for whom we’re designing the products or services. The workshop focuses on design thinking as a prob-lem solving methodology, where creative skills, customer-centricity and critical thinking are combined to transform the way organizations develop products, services, processes and strategy.

• Fundamentals of invention, innovation and creativity

• Using ‘smiling curve’ theory to explain value creation

• Design thinking in a nutshell• Applying design thinking methodology on a

business challenge: sketching, prototyping, testing, and trying out concepts and ideas.

Learning outcomes

• Learn how to imagine, co-create and prototype new products, services, strategies, and business models that build on deep insights from human needs

• Become skilled in thinking about stakeholders, systems, scale, human factors, inputs, outcomes, and their relation to your business’s needs.Learning methods

Agile Project ManagementThe workshop will highlights the differences between traditional and agile project management methodologies, of which Scrum is one. Scrum is a method of iterative and incremental product delivery that uses frequent feedback and collaborative decision making. The involvement of the business throughout the project is critical as Scrum relies heavily on the collaboration between the team and the customer or customer representative to create the right product in a lean fashion.

Leading for ChangeOnce performed by a dedicated team of change specialists, the ability to drive and implement change initiatives has become a core competency for managers. The workshop provides an easy-to-understand framework for leading the people side of change, equipping participants with the structures as well as communication and coaching skills to guide teams through implementation of change initiatives.

• Connecting change management to business results (4Ps model)

• Five building blocks of change• Three-phase change management process• Relationship between project management and

change management• Coaching teams for change

• Adopting a structured approach to plan and manage change initiatives
